Protect your shins

Rope climbs, dead lifts, cleans and snatches can be hard on your shins (so hard that some athletes develop staph infections). Built with UV protective 5mm of hi-tech neoprene and breathable 10-24 Lycra, Rock Guards protect and serve. They’re light-weight and slightly compressive, yet offer the ultimate in protection.

Rock Guards are great for:

  • Rope climbs
  • Dead-lifts
  • Cleans and snatches
  • Box Jumps

New Features:

  • Impact resistive 5mm neoprene fronts fused to a compressive lycra sleeve.
  • Back zip makes them easy to get on.
  • Foot stirrup and silicone grips keep them in place

Sizing Chart

  • If your calves are < 38 cm in circumference at the widest point and your height is 155cm (5 foot) or less and therefore the length of your leg (tibial tuberosity to the ankle bone is generally 30cm or less) use the small size.
  • If your calves are < 38 cm in circumference at the widest point use the medium size.
  • If your calves are > 38 cm in circumference at the widest point use the large / extra large size

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but compressing I got these to keep from scraping my shins on deadlifts. They are good but quite compressing. I’m a big dude so I have big dude calves. The protective pad also is only on the front so won’t work as well for sumo style DL.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Work great for deadlifting They make deadlifts suck less. No more grinding the bar up my bony shins. The zippers are worthless. They won't stay closed once they're on, but doesn't really affect how the fit or perform. They should probably just replace them with elastic instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more scars Before wearing rock guards climbing a rope was impossible with out skinning my lower shins. First time I used these it made a huge difference. No more rope burns and scars. I won’t rope climb without them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good accessory for deadlifts I purchased these a few weeks ago for deadlifts. They work great and keep my shins from getting cut up. I feel they work better than a thick pair of socks. Always a pleasure purchasing from Rogue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice product to protect shins for barbell lifts These were very good for rope climbing and have good padding in front of shin for barbell lifts. For now i only used these for rope climbing. They compress a little also for other activities. They are more cumbersome to put on and take off since you put them on like a sock and have a stir-up for the heel to prevent crawling up leg. I prefer the XT Brace for barbell lifts since can easily remove it when switching to non-lifting activities. But if you want more protection then these Rock Guards are ideal. For rope climbing, make sure the zipper on the inside of leg and to avoid cutting into lower leg.
