The Rogue Bar 2.0 - Black Zinc

This is the next generation of the 28.5MM Olympic bar that helped launch the revolution. Now fully machined and assembled at the Rogue factory in Columbus, Ohio, the Rogue Bar 2.0 represents the highest level of precision engineering with a wide range of new features—including stronger 190 PSI steel, durable composite bushings, and CNC-machined groove sleeves allowing for customization of your barbell with your own color bands.

Like the original flagship Rogue Bar, Version 2.0 still offers convenient dual knurl marks for both Olympic and powerlifting, with a black zinc shaft and bright zinc sleeves. The addition of a groove in the sleeve enables athletes and coaches to more easily identify and differentiate bars by changing out the bands. The bar comes standard with Rogue-branded bands, but you can swap them out with any of the additional color options available, or even use any custom, personalized band that matches the dimensions.

The Rogue Bar 2.0 is among the first in our arsenal to use composite bushings—a self-lubricating material often found in hi-tech aerospace equipment and military vehicles. For intense, high-rep training, these bushings dramatically minimize friction to both provide a reliable spin and help extend the shelf life of the bar itself.

The Rogue Bar helped us cement our reputation at the CrossFit Games and beyond, and we believe the Rogue Bar 2.0 is a worthy successor to that mantle.

Note: The Rogue Bar 2.0 comes standard with Black / White Silicone Bracelets, so additional Rogue Silicone Bracelets that are purchased must be replaced on the barbell manually

F SCALE™

The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

OXIDATION RATE

The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Quality
The bar feels great in your hand with knurling that is pronounced enough to make sure you have a good grip. The bar looks great and look forward to using it for many years to come.

Best purchase so far from Rogue
The barbell is by far the best I’ve ever used. The whole process from purchase to shipping to the quality of the barbell was top notch. The Knurling feels great on the hands and the look and feel of the bar is far superior to anything I’ve ever used. Will be purchasing from rogue for the rest of my garage gym equipment.

Great multipurpose bar
I’ve had several rogue bars over the years. This shaft is easier to grip than their power bar because it’s smaller diameter. Same great rogue quality. Not sure if the band thing is of much use for me but I could see it being very useful in a team or group environment . I purchased this for my teenage son to have his own barbell.

Holds up well for years and years
This bar has been used on average 4-5 times a week in my garage setting for the last 6 1/2 years and it’s still going strong. Been used for a wide range of exercises: deadlifts, squats, bent over rows, seal rows, and hip thrusts (no overhead drops tho) and has held up well. There is a small amount of light rust on the bar, but nothing significant enough to be concerned about. Having gotten used to this bar, the knurling is sufficient for my home gym use such that I now find the more aggressive knurl on bars like the Ohio Powerbar less preferable. Given that I have recently expanded my home gym, I could probably add a second of these fairly comfortably all in all a great addition to your home gym, and I strongly recommend considering this for the value.

I wish I had bought two!
I bought this bar and another bar from a competitor. The knurling and whip on this bar are night and day better than a competitor. I use it for benching, which concerned me as some Crossfit barbells have too much spin for slow movements. This bar does it all, deadlift great, only lift great, and presses great. Next purchase will be an Ohio bar for sure after seeing this quality at a lower price point.
