2020 Arnold Strongman Classic – Wheel Of Pain | Recap

Extended highlights from Event 3 of the 2020 Arnold Strongman Classic, the “Wheel of Pain,” as re-broadcast on the CBS Sports Network. Inspired by a famous implement from one of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s earliest films, Rogue’s Wheel of Pain weighs 20,000 LBS, stands 21 feet tall x 36 feet in diameter, and took three months to design and build. In the event, each athlete must push the merciless wheel as far as they can in 60 seconds. The greatest distance achieved is the winner. As expected, the Wheel of Pain proved to be a showcase for the rising stars of Strongman in 2020, as Hafthor Bjornsson found more than worthy challengers in the forms of Martins Licis and Mateusz Kieliszkowski.

The 2020 Arnold Classic took place the weekend of March 6-7 in Columbus, Ohio, and brought together 10 of the most accomplished Strongman athletes from around the world to compete in six events. Due to early Covid-19 safety protocols, the competition was held without live spectators.
