2021 Rogue Invitational – Men’s Individual Event 7 – The Duel

Complete coverage of the Duel, the 7th and final event of the Men’s Individual competition at the 2021 Rogue Invitational, from Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas (Sunday, October 31). The Duel is a single-elimination bracket event in which the top 5 men on the leaderboard earn an automatic bye into Round 2. The workout itself has a 90-second time cap and includes a sequence of double-unders, squat snatches, and a sand bag lift. Coming into the event, Pat Vellner still had a shot at catching Justin Medeiros for the title, but a single misstep helped make the difference in their three-day, back-and-forth battle. When the smoke cleared, Guilherme Malheiros ended the weekend on a positive note with an event win, while Medeiros did enough to secure his first Rogue Invitational championship.
