Elephant Bar Deadlift – Event 3

Complete coverage of the Elephant Bar Deadlift, Event 3 from the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic in Columbus, Ohio (March 4, 2023). With this challenge, each athlete has 3 attempts to establish a max weight (inside a 60 second time cap). The Elephant Bar challenge also doubles as a Rogue Record Breakers event.

Coming off a great showing in yesterday’s Austrian Oak, the foursome of Trey Mitchell, Bobby Thompson, Mitchell Hooper, and Rob Kearney once again set the tone to start Day Two, as all four look capable of flirting with the 1,000 LB barrier. Whoever manages to outpull the others could have the upper hand in the overall competition with two events to go.

Deadlift record holder Tamara Walcott entered this event as the odds on favorite, but challengers Andrea Thompson and Victoria Long joined her in showcasing just how far the women’s Strongman ranks have come, as history was in the making.
