Every lift from the Elephant Bar Deadlift; Event 1 of the 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic; now in a condensed 13 minutes with no lag time between athletes or attempts. Original event date: March 1; 2019. Columbus; Ohio. Some of Strongman’s all-time greats duel in this classic event; featuring Rogue’s infamous Elephant Bar. Each athlete gets three attempts per round and 60 seconds per lift; with the weight of the bar gradually increasing from its 340 KG starting point. By the end; Martins Licis; Jerry Pritchett; and Brian Shaw had all reached 440 KG or better; but it was the Mountain; Hafthor Bjornsson; who had his eyes on a new world record.
