Friday, 9:55am: You don’t hear bagpipes in your ears. You hear them in your soul
Friday, 9:55am: You don’t hear bagpipes in your ears. You hear them in your soul. The Flower of Scotland, the unofficial Scottish national anthem, kicks off the first day of Rogue Invitational competition, taking place in Europe for the first time in its six-year history.
Like Rogue itself, Scotland’s heritage was forged in iron, stone and sweat. Fitting then, that Day 1 begins with Strongman competition, where a modern generation of warriors continues that proud tradition. They are the strongest human beings in the world; giants among men.
And now, women.
This year, Strongwomen will join the men as they battle through events that echo back to Scotland’s storied past. In the heart of Aberdeen, they hope to ascend to the top of their sport and etch their names alongside the legends of old. This is more than a competition, it’s Scotland’s legacy. And new saga of strength is about to be written.
