Road to the Arnold – Ian Wilson, Olympic Weightlifter

Ian Wilson began his weightlifting journey at the age of 12 in Berkeley, California. Since that time, he’s broken long-held weightlifting records with apparent ease. At 15, he became the youngest American ever to snatch 300lbs. At 16, he was the youngest American to clean & jerk 400lbs. At 17, he earned the Silver medal at the World Youth Championships, becoming the only American to medal in the competition thus far. In 2013, Ian became the youngest ever to clean & jerk 200kg, and set the Senior American snatch record (173kg) the following year.
Rogue spent time with Ian as he trains for the upcoming Arnold Sports Festival, a contest he won in 2012 — as as senior in high school.
