2019 CrossFit Games | Swim Paddle Event

The fourth and final day of the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games begins with the Swim Paddle event in both the Individual and Team competitions, presented live from Lake Monona in Madison, Wisconsin. The Rogue Iron Game sets the stage, as Sean Woodland, Annie Sakamoto, Chase Ingraham, and Dan Bailey discuss Tia-Clair Toomey and Mat Fraser’s potential paths to history and who might join Mayhem Freedom on the team podium. In the Swim Paddle itself, the Men, Women, and Teams all take part in an event that includes a 1,000-m swim followed by a 1,000-m paddle. A pair of Australians, Matt McLeod and James Newbury, try to eclipse headliners Mat Fraser and Noah Ohlsen in the water on the men’s side, while CrossFit’s Aussie queen, Tia Toomey, creates separation between herself and the field. Meanwhile, Team Invictus looks to propel themselves to a podium spot as the field shrinks to five.
