How I Met Dr. Krajewsky – Iron Game History – June 1990

While it was only a few days to Christmas, 1897, my friend Kalde and I decided we’d go and see Dr. Krajewsky at Leningrad (St. Petersburg). Already I felt quite confident of being able to tackle any strong man or professional wrestler on their own terms and reckoned I’d stay at Leningrad no matter what happened. If I couldn’t find work in an engineering office I might get taken on as a professional athlete in a circus, but before I took any definite step I wanted to hear what Dr. Krajewsky had to say about it.
