Nike Metcon 8 flyease - women’s

Light Silver / Mica Green / Cosmic Fuchsia / Black

The “FlyEase” variation of Nike’s Metcon 8 women’s cross-training shoe features a unique, flexible heel that allows you to step into the shoe without using your hands; the heel collapses when you step in, then snaps back into place to secure the foot.

Because it’s part of the Metcon 8 series, the rest of the FlyEase’s specs are similarly engineered to the demands of championship athletes. This includes a lighter upper with improved airflow, React foam for optimal comfort and cushioning, grooves in the sole to let your forefoot bend naturally, and lock-down lace tabs to prevent untying during high-intensity training. The shoe’s wide flexible heel also has an inner plate that distributes weight from edge to edge for added stability, while rubber wraps along the arch offer better traction on rope climbs.

Lightweight mesh and strategically textured overlays help keep your feet cool without sacrificing durability, and flywire cables integrate with the laces to secure the midfoot.

Available here in Light Silver / Mica Green / Cosmic Fuchsia / Black.

Great shoes
Love them. Tried reebok nano x2 but were too wide. Perfect for those with slimmer feet

They Glow!
I love Metcons. These are flashy, so I use them as casual shoes. More important, they glow in the dark! ‘Nough said - Buy them!

Love Metcons but..
Fit is ok and they do what they are supposed to do. Disappointed with the design change to the Velcro lace “lock” The tab gets in the way now when lacing up and older versions allowed me to secure it before locking down.

Even better than Metcon 7
So confused by the negative reviews saying the toe box is too narrow. If anything I’d say the toe box is slightly roomier than my Metcon 7’s. The upper is also a bit more flexible and comfortable. If you had the 7’s you will love the 8’s

Terrible shoe
The shoe is terrible. Enclosed toe box, the “lace lock” gets in the way of tying your shoes because there’s nowhere else to Velcro it to. Would never buy another pair of these.

Awesome shoes!
I bought these shoes 3 months ago and I honestly can’t stop wearing them! I use them for heavy deadlifts, squats (even though I also have the Nike Savaleos) for wider toe stand are awesome! Very stable and comfortable to walk on, I do get the compliments at the gym as well for their very unique design, I like things out of the ordinary and this item is definitely one of those for me. I love them and I recommend them to anyone who is looking to get the most out of your workouts while looking great!

Toe Box in All Nikes have gotten TOO NARROW
I bought Nike running and METCON exclusively until….they morphed to extremely narrow lasts which caused problems with my feet. No mas! Moved on to performance focused width with other major performance and CrossFit brands. I have moved on from Nike.

Nike is working backwards
Toe box runs a bit small and is much more narrow the length of the shoe versus the last model. Not great at all for rope climbing as the sides of the shoe are already starting to peel and deteriorate. As a convenience thing, Nike should not have gotten rid of the bottom piece of Velcro that holds the lock tab in place when tying your shoes. Overall, not a good shoe, and Nike continues to move away from a product they once mastered.
