Product Description

The Nike Romaleos 4 is a next-level Olympic weightlifting shoe, optimized for efficient power transfer, absolute stability, and a lockdown fit.

This updated design features a supportive midsole and a wide, flat outsole, with adjustable straps over the laces at the midfoot to secure the foot during high-intensity workouts. The substantial heel-to-toe drop reduces the ankle flexion needed at the bottom of a lift, and—combined with the rigid midsole—enables greater explosiveness off the ground.

Nike Romaleos Weight Lifting Shoes
What a difference these made on leg day!! I cannot believe I never had weight lifting shoes after ALL these years. So much more stability and control. Leg days are always brutal, but these shoes upped the game. Stimulation to the quads was measurable. You have way more control to spread the push force evenly from heel to toe. And ankle flexion is significantly improved with the taper of the sole. I use to place 10lb plates under my heel to improve ankle angle but with regular shoes it leaves a bad gap leaving your arch with no support. These shoes fix all that and allow you to focus. If you don't have a pair of weightlifting shoes and are serious just get some. I am irritated I just did this now.

Shoes are like being stuck in cement
I lifted in these shoes trying them out (a friend owned them) and my goodness. When I did OHS it was like I was immovable. No matter how the weight and bar wanted to push me the shoes just didn't allow my feet to move or my heels to raise off the floor. I was actually shocked how well the shoes kept you from moving or compensating. I'd 1k times buy them and will once they're in stock.

Get half size up!!
I got this Nike Romaleos 4 for doing more powerlifting squats and box squats. This is an excellent investment as this shoe’s hard bottom makes all the difference! I highly recommend getting it. It is an expensive shoe but just like any other sports, you need the right shoe for the right purpose. This is my first weightlifting shoe and I love it! Highly recommend it and make sure you get half a size up as you do not want it too loose. Nice and snug is the right fit. Plus the two straps helps the foot from moving forward, nice and stable.

Best weightlifting shoes so far
Bought these shoes 2 months ago and I have no complaints or even suggestions for improvements. Women's shoes are far too narrow for me but these men's Nike 4s fit great. The shoe is wide enough and the material is flexible enough that I can lift with no pain. Yet it provides a great platform with 2 opposing straps and a stiff base. I highly recommend these shoes.

Why haven’t I used these before
Simply amazing results. Squats with these shoes and the results were incredible more reps more weight. The balance and sturdy platform elevated my performance to unheard of levels. I was planning on doing a light squat session to try out the shoes. Was using Nike cross trainers for years. Well I went 95 pounds more for 2 more reps than I expected. From225 to 315 was a breeze. It’s definitely without a doubt the shoes. Been squatting for years. Have never experienced such a tremendous difference. I guess the angle of my ankles with the solid base and exceptional balance is exactly why these shoes were made. And no raising your heels is not the same I’ve done that many times. All I can say is highly recommended!

Stiff, Stable and Locked In
Coming from the beginner friendly adidas powerlifts these are on a whole different level. Stiff, stable and locked in with the straps. Initially I was a bit apprehensive about both the increased 20mm heel lift and stiff sole. Thought my toes might smash up against the front of the toebox and they’d feel like walking on bricks compared the powelifts and their softer EVA midfoot, flexible forefoot and 15mm heel lift. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yes they’re quite a bit harder to get into, but once laced and strapped in my feet stayed planted. The straps are positioned to pull and hold the foot and heel back towards the heel cup. No forward movement or heel lift. The toe box actually felt roomier then the powerlifts. It didn’t take long to get used to walking in them. Once under weight is when they shine. They just feel rooted to the platform. It feels that it’s more then just the stiff TPU midsole though. Laterally they very little give. I think the way the midsole just widens out and has a lot to do with it. The sole is actually wider than the shoe. As for sizing, I wear a 10 US & these fit well at a size 10 with a little room in the toebox for that inevitable summer month heat swell. Over all I’d definitely recommend them. Bit pricey compared to the Nike Savaleos but it isn’t like weight shoes wear out quickly. Had my powerlifts for three years and honestly they’re still good other than the little bit heel lift and very slight inner lateral movement under load. You can see it in the pic if you look close enough to the shoes. Hope this helps.
