Rogue P-4 Pull-Up System

Manufactured in Ohio using the same 11-gauge steel as our full-scale rigs and racks, the versatile Rogue P-4 Pull-Up System is a single, compact unit optimized for wall mounts and ceiling mounts*. Once anchored securely to concrete or wood studs, the P-4’s pull-up bar will be positioned at a 30” depth from the wall/ceiling. That’s 8” more than the depth of the P-3 Pull-up system, allowing more room for kipping movements.

The complete P-4 Pull-Up System comes standard with a 52” Pull-Up Bar, and can serve as a dependable rings station, as well. If you want to expand the set-up for more athletes, you can daisy-chain additional brackets together by spacing them out 3-4 feet apart, then running a single 1” steel tube/1.25” OD pipe through all of the brackets (5 brackets, for example, would create a 16-foot pull-up bar). In most cases, this type of pipe can be purchased at your local hardware store.

*For ceiling mounts, the P-4 is often the best option if your ceiling height is above 9’6”. If the height is between 8’ and 9’6”, a P-3 System could be a better option.

Specifications:

  • 11-Gauge Steel
  • Depth: 30" from wall/ceiling
  • Width: Can be set on 16" Stud Centers or custom width up to 48" between brackets
  • Total Length: You can add brackets for miles by putting brackets in a row. 1"/1.25" Pipe can be purchased from local tube supplier in 24' lengths.
  • Orientation: This unit can be setup vertically or horizontally, our unique support arm will keep this rig sturdy!
  • Mounting Hardware NOT included.

Recommended Setups:

  • Distance between brackets: Concrete – 36", Wood Studs – 32" or 48"
  • Height: 7' 6" - 8' on center of bar but this can be adjusted based on ceiling height or athlete height

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid bar! Love this bar! Put a little chalk on it and my husband and I love it! Super easy install. Picked up the bolts at Lowes and it was up pretty quick. Our little ones, friends & neighbors all different weights have tried it in our garage & it holds up no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOLID!!! First, thanks to all the other reviewers for all the tips on installation. I went with 2x6's so I didn't compress the drywall when I cranked down on installation (easier to patch some holes than a whole rail-long indention). Used 4" long 3/8" lag bolts for the actual bracket, and the 2x6's are secured using 3" long 3/8" lag bolts (my HD didn't have any 3 1/2" long, but the 3"-ers went plenty deep). Without all the other reviews here, I'd have had no idea what to do, and I'm happy with how it came out. Now, for the product. I installed this in my son's room and it's perfect. He's a rising 9th grader looking to get strong for HS sports, and he really wanted a pull up bar. When he was younger, we had one of the ones that attach inside the door frame, but I got tired of hitting my head on it, it ruined the door frame, and it just wasn't sturdy enough. THIS thing is STURDY -- like, whoa. I tested it out and it didn't budge. I'm not as big as some of the reviewers (a svelte 180lbs), but I still outweigh my kid by about 60lbs. If I can swing and do pull ups on this without it moving, he's good to go. It might seem a little pricey, but as my friend who recommended it to me said, you'll get what you pay for. I 100% feel like I did. It looks great, too, so that's a plus. And since it's next to the playstation, maybe he'll be guilted into banging out a set between games. :) He's at the beach right now -- he's got a nice surprise (and note from dad lol) waiting for him when he gets home!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stoked as a goat! Awesome pull-up bar! Well built, solid, perfect thickness and finish, wide and deep. I mounted mine on an exterior garage wall with 24" studs on center, so was able to get the full length of the bar by having the brackets 48" apart. Though I hit the studs, I still opted for using 2x6 stringers for a couple reasons; I wanted to increase the surface area to avoid compressing the drywall, it adds some more depth from the bar to the wall, adds extra support, and looks awesome! Hardware I used was ten 4" long 3/8" lag screws with washers. The next size up at Home Depot was 6" long, which now that it's mounted confirms is unnecessary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely solid! I am about 220 and I can kip on this. I installed it using 2x6 boards and 6" lag bolts. I did 100 pull ups and 100 t2b on my first workout and this bar didn't budge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond Solid! I purchased the P-4 for kipping and bar muscle ups as my garage ceiling in only 7ft. I mounted it to bricks with 3/8 lag screws in lag anchors in all 3 holes with a little anchor glue. Had to add some wood to account for the lip between brick and cinderblock. Not quite a stringer but it helps with the support. It is as solid as a rock, feels like I could hang my car on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Big Guys I'm 260 and bounce around on this pull-up bar regularly. It's great for ring work and TRX style training as well. Be sure to use the proper lag bolts when installing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Pull-Up Bar and Easy Install Thanks to those who posted before...you really made this easy! I found two pieces of extra wood (3/4") at home to serve as stringers. Elected these over 2x4's simply because they are closer to the wall. Either works. Purchased (6) 3/8" x 4" lag screws with washers that attached rig through stringer and into wall stud and (4) 3/8" x 3 1/2" lag screws with washers to attach stringer. Drilled 15/64 pilot holes for all prior. Don't skip this...you don't want to split the stringer or stud. I chose the 48" max-width for a single bar which worked well as most contruction is done 16" on-center for the studs. SOLID! I'm 205lbs and kip on this with not a creak or any indication of any weakness. I think the comment made by a previous review that "if my house burned down, this would still be hanging" is correct! I have the Rogue Fold-Back Rig but even at max height for the pull-up bar, my feet still touch the ground (I'm 6'3"). I chose the P-4 to get my feet off the ground as they should be. Hint: to choose your height, stand with arms stretched out above you as high as possible and have someone measure your reach from floor to fingertips. Add about 6-7" and use that height to mount pull-up bar. I used the bottom of the cut-outs for the pipe as the point. This makes it easy to jump up to but not too high and plenty of clearance for T2B and kipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pull-up bar Like all the other reviews have said, this is the best wall-mounted pull-up bar on the market. I went to specialty fitness stores that sold commercial-grade fitness equipment and they didn't carry anything like this. I wanted enough room for me and my wife to be able to do pull-ups next to each other at the same time, so I bought three brackets and stud-mounted them, and went to Home Depot to get a 100" long iron pipe (1" thick) that I got for about 20 bucks. I use it all the time and it's solid as a rock, no budging or anything on the wall. I'd give this 6 stars if I could!
