Rated 5 out of 5 by from For heavy weights only These grip like crazy. I use them for deadlifts and heavy squats only. They are way too much trouble for lighter loads for which I use good old spring clips that can be attached with one hand. These collars require two hands and a firm grip and they can still bite you if you're careless. The locking lever has to be cocked in the open position of they won't be fully open. If you want your deadlift plates to stay put these are the collars to get.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fancy Bought these as they look really nice and aggressive. Looks great when they're on the barbell. I find it a bit difficult and snug to get them on in the first place at times. Difficult to unlatch, but holds the plates securely and does look mean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive but work so good that it is worth it. Yah, I know, who pays that much for collars. Well, I do, and these work great. the longer handle to lock/unlock is critical, and the 2nd notch when unlocking is also a must do when putting them on or removing them. Really nice to have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These work well I found these in the boneyard for a great price. So far they work great and have yet to move when dropping a loaded barbell. Be careful when releasing the clamp. It releases with a lot of speed and hurts if it catches a finger or knuckle. Still giving it 5 stars because it does it's job well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice collars, but careful or they’ll bite! Solid collars. Looks cool, feels a bit kore premium than standard plastic collars, but they both keep bumpers in place. Nice positive click on locking, but when opened they snap open very quickly and will whack your knuckles if you’re not careful. Only had mine a month or so, maybe it’ll get better with time as some other reviews have stated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They are ok They are ok collars, the aluminum collars are way better than these but weren't available at the time. If you can wait until they are in stock get the USA aluminum ones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly Secure These collars def do a better job at holding its place and keeping the plates against the end of the sleeve, but they do move a little bit (especially when dropping the bar from overhead).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work great! So far, I just use them for powerlifting and they grip just perfectly. Open them all the way to slide on and off easily as others have suggested. They have a tendency to snap open on release so learn to keep your fingers out of harms way when you flick them open. Over time, the cam action has broken in and has become much smoother to operate.
