Quality Rogue Construction
This is the high-performance, adjustable jump rope of choice for athletes, trainers, and gym owners who demand the best. Made in the USA using aircraft-grade aluminum and a 3/32" coated speed cable, Version 3.0 of the SR-2 rolls out a revised, higher precision bearing swivel system (featuring high speed oil) and a new CNC-machined and anodized head, made of lightweight aluminum. The tapered handles (6.75” long x ⅞” grip diameter) are 10% lighter than Version 2.0, as well, and include a sandblast textured finish with a fine knurled grip and laser-etched Rogue branding.

Fun but not great for beginners
I bought this rope a couple of months ago but it has already begun to have mechanical issues in the connection between the handles and the rope. The plastic around the rope also shaved off when adjusting the length of the rope.

Amazing handles. Rope, not so much.
The handles and bearings are AMAZING. Spin for days! The cable rope, unfortunately, is a kinky mess: if it is rolled for storage (big roll, small roll, no matter), it turns into a loopy, messy pile every time you set it down (see pic). That means after every round you're trying to get the rope sort of flat to start your next set of dubs. Which isn't great.
I reached out to Rogue support about it and was told that it will eventually stop doing that. We're 3 months in of regular use, and no change in sight. So...
So yeah: when buying this, figure you're going to need to buy some new cables to make it awesome.
Also, it's an over $50 rope (with shipping) and it doesn't come with a storage bag? C'mon Rogue. Maybe that's to remind me that I'm never supposed to roll it up....?

Feels solid
This is an excellent jump rope. I use it 6 days per week for 10 min every morning, and it shows almost no signs of wear. The handles feel good and the swivel action is smooth. Strap on a weight vest for some extra burn!

Dubs made easy!
This is my second SR 2 3.0 and only reason it is my second is because my daughter was helping me clean out my truck and she threw away the wrong bag which had the first jump rope I had purchased. This rope spins quick and definitely make dubs a lot easier!
