I bought this platform a few months ago and I just love it! It's so fun to train on. Easy to clean and easily accommodates two lifters with two barbells.

I heavily considered building an Oly Platform from scratch and save a few bucks for my garage gym, but I eventually came around and pulled the trigger on the Oly platform with 8 smooth tile. Needless to say I am so glad I made that decision. Why not go for the best quality in the business, right? The platform is fantastic for noise elimination and can handle heavy drops with ease. I don't even have to think about my foundation getting damaged which is one of the top priorities for me. If you go with the 8 tile options, you will have to buy a couple sheets of 4' x 8' plywood separately for the center piece, which you can find at most local lumber warehouses. So far no complaints for all of my primary platform lifts (deadlifts, cleans, jerks, snatches). I may eventually fill the platform with rubber tiles down the road but I'm really enjoying the center wood piece. All in all - Full 5 stars!

I built the basement with reinforced concrete and doubled the thickness in the areas that the olympic lifting was going to take place and then covered the floor with Rogue's 4' x 6' 3/4" rubber mats. The only problems was it still created quite a bit of vibration that traveled through the foundation/walls. The Rogue Olympic Platform looked like it might help by adding addition vibration dampening, but the reviews talked about having to modify the rubber tiles due to fit issues related with the frame's design. The tiles are extremely, if not impossible to fit by hand, but using a rubber mallet made installing the rubber tiles easy and they stay in place very well as they are compressed against each other now. It is as simple as hammering them in place with the rubber mallet. I ordered the smooth tiles and found the grip was VERY good with my weightlifting shoes. The tiles are about 1.25" thick and were successful at providing the vibration dampening I was looking for. I did notice the weight when dropped bounces more on the rubber tiles of the platform than against the 4'x6' 3/4" thick rubber mats.

I've been wanting a lifting platform for a few years, but the price compared to the one I built couldn't be justified. I picked up a used one from a guy that is in pristine shape and came with the band pegs and 6 of the Rogue Tiles. Upfront I want to say the platform is heavy duty and feels solid like we expect from Rogue. The caveat being that the nuisances for setting up the flooring correctly (mentioned in other reviews) need to be addressed to meet my expectations of Rogue. Solutions: 1) Tiles not setting flush against outer frame due to corner bolts: A 1 1/2' Irwin paddle bit actually works great on the tiles. If you wanted a tighter fit, you can get more exact to the bolt head size. but drilling about a 1/4" indent at the four side bolts allowed the 3 tiles to line up perfectly and sit snug against the side rails. - This was actually a very quick and easy fix if you have the paddle bit already. 2) Steel Plate slats under middle section not allowing middle section to lay flush with sides and creates give: I was fortunate to have some rubber 1/4" thick mats that are almost exactly the depth of the steel slats. I cut these to size around the steel slats, did a second layer on top of that and then dropped in a 3/4" 4x6 stall mat that I already owned. I also have a piece of 3/4" plywood but prefer the stall mats for now. - This was not easy and to me beyond what should be expected to get the platform to sit flush. I got a great deal on the platform, so I'll accept all the work arounds for me. To me, the number one thing to address would be selling center inserts that are scored to sit around the steel slats and get you to the right overall height.

Tiles are good and provide the good sound reduction. I don’t need to put plywood for solid platform to stand as tiles provide good support. The only thing that I didn’t like is the frame. Frame is slightly bigger than 8’ to accommodate bolt heads and that 1/4 extra inch makes it impossible to align tiles properly. May not be a big deal maybe but i always find myself trying to fix it before starting my workout. A small slot for the bolts could have fixed it, it is just a lazy design and for the price of it i was expecting a little better from rogue.

I ordered after the Holidays and this came in very quickly. I was on the fence about getting 8 rubber tiles and laying wood in the middle like a standard platform... I decided the hell with it and am going with an all rubber tile lifting platform. It all came in and I just knew they were top quality, judging from how heavy the tiles are. The setup was super easy and its an excellent durable product. My only gripe is it appears the tiles MAY not be "precision cut". I am going to look to rearrange today to see if I can get a more flush arrangement. If anybody has any recommendations, by all means!

Got the 6'x8' platform and the rough tiles. Worth it for not having to search high and low for the right stall mats and cutting them down to size.

I’m thrilled with the quality, look, feel and noise dampening ability if this platform.
