Perfect for my compact portable deadlift platform
I have limited space in my home gym, and I needed two mats to book-end my homemade 1.5 inch thick platform. These fit the bill perfectly. I just drop them next the platform, and I’m good to go. When not in use, I lean the platform and mats against the wall behind the door leading into my gym, so that they’re nicely tucked away.
These are very sturdy, heavy duty mats that give me complete confidence that I’m protecting my floor, which is already covered by very dense 3/8” rubber flooring. My gym is a converted bedroom with hardwood flooring over a cement slab. So I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t risking damaging either the hardwood or slab underneath. I thought about using 3/4” mats, with a wood base, but decided this would be a simpler, better option for my needs. With these in addition to the gym flooring, I don’t worry about having to be extra gentle when dropping / setting down the barbell.
An interesting feature of the mats is their waffle like pattern on the base, with 1 inch square cutouts about 3/8” deep. Rogue doesn’t post a picture of the bottom, so just be aware that the bottom is not perfectly smooth like the top. I don’t know the purpose with certainty, but I assume the spaces created by the cutouts, can actually help dissipate some of the force absorbed by the mat, thereby further reducing the energy that could be transferred to the floor. My pure conjecture of course.

Perfect platform
I just received 6 tiles today. I immediately tried them out along with my new deadlift bar jack. They set perfectly together, no shifting, and absorb the weights better than I thought possible. Fantastic platform which I’ll use for low bar squats and deadlifts.

Great for the garage gym
We started with only 6, they did not stay in place very well by themselves. Now we have an area with 22 & they work great and stay in place. I wish they were easier to keep clean, but the texture really holds onto the chalk & dirt. To clean we take them out in the driveway & hose them off.

Excellent, Heavy, Sturdy Construction
Each tile weighs approximately 25 pounds, and they tend to stay in place. I purchased 16 tiles to make an 8'x8' platform. Perfect for my application.

Good Floor Protection
These are good mats for protecting your concrete floor, but don’t expect them to significantly reduce the noise.

Protects floor and equipment.
Using these for about a year for deadlifts etc. with cast iron plates with no issues or damage to the floor, plates, or the rubber itself. Also very little rubber smell when new which dissipates quickly, which is good if used indoors.

Great for Sound and Shock
I previously used 3/4" stall mats on my basement floor for deadlifts. Those worked just fine as far as I could tell. I just decided that I wanted something a bit quieter and something to protect the concrete floor a bit as I increased in weight.
These tiles have done an amazing job at removing quite a bit of the sound (it's way quieter now) and they reduce a lot of the shock. I'm very happy with the purchase. They work better than I thought they would.
