The RumbleRoller is a scientifically engineered mobility tool designed to mimic thumb-like, deep tissue massage pressure. This effect helps to break up knotted muscle fibers, decrease muscle tension, and diminish tightness. This roller is much more aggressive than most conventional foam rollers and is able to get deeper in the muscle fascia to reach the toughest trigger points.

Rogue currently offers the RumbleRoller in three sizes: Compact (5” diameter x 13” length), Mid-Size (5.5” x 22”), and Full-Size (6” x 31”). The design also comes in two variations of firmness:

Original - Blue

  • Firm but flexible bumps
  • Closest to mimicking real thumb pressure
  • Great for all body parts, and works better around bony areas
  • Recommended for beginners switching over from traditional foam rollers, as well as experienced users

XFirm - Black

  • 36% firmer than the original RumbleRoller
  • Helps with breaking up deeper, more dense muscle tissue knots
  • Only recommended for experienced users with especially dense muscle tissue that doesn't respond to normal massage pressure. This model does dig deeper into thicker muscles, but may be too painful to use on some body parts.

Try using the RumbleRoller when warming-up before workouts to increase blood flow and loosen up the muscle. It can also be used after a workout or in your free time to help improve overall mobility and recovery times.

Selecting a Size:

Before buying your RumbleRoller, consider how and where it will be used. If your roller will be kept at one location such as your home or gym, buy the longest one you can afford. Its extra length will allow you to do more types of movements and transition more easily between movements. If you travel with your roller, choose one that's small enough to pack and carry. You can select your size from the order menu on this page.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indispensable I bought both the extra long regular and the short extra firm rollers. I use them daily for soft tissue foam rolling. I used to scoff at physical therapists, kinesiologists, and massage therapists when they told me how indispensable foam rolling was. Then I discovered it for myself when I did the Thomas test and failed it on both sides. Despite lots of yoga and stretching, my psoas, hip flexors, and anterior leg muscles were still not mobile enough for me to progress in my squats. And I'm pretty flexible and mobile in general! After a week of sessions using both of my RumbleRollers, I have more mobility than months of stretching gave me, and my squat is unstuck and finally progressing at a good rate. The other body parts that I regularly foam roll are the thoracic spine and shoulder capsule/rotator cuff muscles. These are very important for progressing in presses and squats, as well. These RumbleRollers ended up turning out to be the best investments in my home gym.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Digs in where you need it I had the opportunity to use one of these in my gym. It does a better job on loosening my quads than a regular foam roller

Rated 5 out of 5 by from game changer Anyone who wants the ability to alleviate muscle soreness/tightness at their own convenience (regardless of whether you're lifting, doing martial arts or any other form of exercise) will benefit greatly/speed up your recovery time immensely, with this style of foam roller. I'd been using a regular/smooth foam roller for a couple years, and don't get me wrong, those do help. The rumble roller with the thumb-like projections, is able to give you a "deep tissue"-type of massage and helps get into those hard-to-access areas (like the lower lumbar [if done properly/] or deep hip flexors) in a way that a traditional foam roller simply cannot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rumble-riffic!! Started using a 6” foam roller about 9 months ago. Bought the Rumble Roller 4 weeks ago to get more/deeper tissue response. This thing works great, very effective and I’ve found myself using it almost every day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helpful in recovery I have been using this for almost two months now, and it is so much better than the one I had. I am currently recovering from a bulged disk that caused back and leg pains.
