Optional Roof Kit:
At added cost, customers can also elect to add a Roof Kit to either barrel size. SISU’s Roof Kit is made from an asphalt underlayment, cedar lap siding, and custom trim pieces that span the entire top half of the barrel. This helps to protect and prolong the life of the sauna. In addition to protection, a Roof Kit will help to insulate the sauna and keep heat from escaping through the staves during temperature fluctuations, keeping it warmer and your heater running more efficiently.
Assembly is easiest (and faster) with multiple people. The barrel should sit on a flat, clear resting surface. Do NOT place it on grass. Good options include crushed gravel, river rock, cement, wooden deck, and/or pavers. All staves are pre-cut and require no additional cutting to make the pieces fit. Tools recommended to complete the build out include: level, adjustable wrench, rubber mallet, hammer, Phillips head screwdriver, bit & drill.
SISU’s heating options are run on a dedicated 240v hardwired line. They recommend contracting an electrician to run the electrical. Estimated costs depending on location: $500-$1,500.
