The Edwin Barrel Sauna is a traditional western red cedar barrel sauna designed for larger home sauna setups, with seating for up to 6-8 people. Its rounded barrel profile supports efficient heat circulation while keeping the overall design straightforward and space-conscious for a sauna of this size. Built for indoor or outdoor use, the Edwin offers a simple way to bring regular sauna sessions into a home, backyard, or wellness space.

TRADITIONAL CEDAR CONSTRUCTION

Made in Ohio through Finn American and Amish craftsmanship, the Edwin combines classic barrel sauna design with durable western red cedar construction. Cedar is naturally well suited to sauna environments and helps create the traditional look, feel, and longevity many buyers want in a home sauna. The barrel shape also helps reduce unused interior air space compared to boxier designs, which can support more efficient heating.

SPACIOUS 6-8 PERSON LAYOUT

Sized for group use, the Edwin seats up to 6-8 people, with room for four per bench. The sauna measures 72” in diameter, 84” deep, and 76” tall including the cradles, giving it a larger interior footprint while still maintaining the compact, rounded form that defines a barrel sauna. This makes it a strong fit for households or shared wellness spaces looking for a larger-capacity outdoor sauna or indoor sauna option.

HOMECRAFT HEATER WITH WIFI CONTROL

The Edwin Barrel Sauna includes a Homecraft Slim 6KW heater and roof kit as part of the standard package. SISU lists the sauna for use from 110°F to 200°F, with heat-up times typically ranging from 50 to 90 minutes depending on weather and target temperature. The heater is WiFi enabled and paired with a UKU remote, allowing you to control and schedule sessions more conveniently.

INDOOR OR OUTDOOR INSTALLATION

The Edwin can be installed indoors without a roof kit or outdoors with the included roof kit, giving buyers flexibility based on available space. Assembly is designed for three people, with an estimated build time of roughly 3 to 4 hours. A licensed electrician is required to pre-wire and complete the electrical hookup, so professional installation planning should be part of the setup process.

SISU’s heating options are run on a dedicated 240v hardwired line. They recommend contracting an electrician to run the electrical. Estimated costs depending on location: $500-$1,500.
