SEAMLESS APP & ACCESSORY CONNECTIVITY

Bluetooth and ANT+ compatibility allow quick pairing with heart rate straps, smartphones, and third-party training platforms using FTMS. Once connected, athletes can use the Rogue App to monitor machine activity live, view detailed performance data, and manage training history in one place. The integrated phone holder keeps your device accessible throughout the workout.

COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY ECHO BIKE

No matter when you purchased your Echo Bike, the M2 Monitor Upgrade Kit delivers a plug-and-play solution that brings your machine up to the newest tech standard—and keeps it aligned with future improvements through OTA software updates. Its expandable device holder secures phones and tablets up to 10" wide, keeping your screen in view as you follow structured training and track real-time metrics through the Rogue App. Unlike the Echo Rower and SKI, the Echo Bike does not have a generator so this monitor runs on replaceable batteries that deliver approximately 220 hours of uninterrupted use.

Improved, but still some work
This monitor is an upgrade, but the UI could stand some improvement. The way the options are laid out it sometimes seems like you're supposed to press the HOME button to make a selection, but no, you're always supposed to press the SELECT button. Also, yesterday I tried to do a workout that was 3 rounds of 6 minutes with 50 cals on the C2 ski erg and max cals on the Echo bike in the time remaining (rest 2 minutes between rounds). There isn't a way to set up this workout on the monitor so I chose "just ride" -- but the monitor stopped the workout after my first round. I didn't realize it, so it screwed me up and I had to start over. When I started over I realized then that the app had disconnected. There's no way to move a workout from the monitor to the app. Like Concept2's monitor, there is a log book utility, but unlike Concept2, it appears there's no online logbook. So now I have my work out on a USB stick, but nowhere to view it.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the monitor and the Rogue App. We have a feature in the app that allows you to manually log workouts. This is located under "Stats & History." We have reached out directly to review this as well as the issue of the disconnection.

Happy with purchase
Good unit but i dont like how easily it moves up and down. I could over tighten it but it would be better if it was a solid unit that didnt move or just had a better design. Also the fact that you cant just turn it right off is very annoying and a waste of batteries. The lowest setting to turn off is 4 minutes after it stops being used. We went to the moon in 69 but cant get an off button on this upgraded screen? Built in cell phone holder is a plus

Major upgrade over the original
It's a major step up from the original, pairing with the app is nice, and support for more HRMs. The backlight is a great feature. It's very similar to the C2 display. It could integrate with Apple Health better, but definitely headed in the right direction.

Great Upgrade
I bought the Echo Bike 6 months ago and loved everything about it except the V3 monitor limitations, specifically it's inability to connect to Garmin devices to track workouts. I decided to give the M2, and it has paired perfectly with a Fenix 8 for logging the data from the bike for "Indoor Bike" workouts. It seems they took an old review into consideration since now there's a very clear step in the manual on battery installation, and it came with batteries as well (two D cells). Additionally it comes with a normal phillips screwdriver, torx 27 driver, and mounting hardware. It only took about 10 minutes to swap it out and the fit is nice. The phone/tablet/device holder being on the top is a HUGE improvement and tilts with the monitor. Before this I was using their phone holder that mounted lower on the bike and only worked for the "portrait" stance for a phone. Not having to look down is nice. The features are great and I had no issues connecting to the watch mentioned above as well as an HRM Pro Heart Monitor from Garmin. The menu is definitely similar to Concept 2 Performance Monitors, so if you use those you'll probably like this one.

Big Upgrade; not perfect
I was highly skeptical on buying this based on the other reviews. I took a chance and am glad I did. Not Rogue’s best product, but compared to the old monitors, this is much better. I’ve spent 1,000+ hours on my Echo Bike so I’m familiar with the good and bad of the last two monitors. The new one is not perfect, and there are still some annoyances that others have mentioned, but I view this as money well spent. The new monitor does improve a ton of things, including: -Ability to save a workout in advance and then perform it on the bike -Highly customizable intervals -A history of past workout metrics so you can analyze and/or adjust moving forward -Lots of different views on your phone while riding—can include splits, cals, miles, RPM, projected finish, etc. This is way better data than before -No annoying beep while counting down the time. I hated doing intervals and the old monitor beeped while counting down

Software has stability issues
Got this upgrade in the expectation that it behaves in a similar fashion as the performance monitor of a rower. Installed the upgrade on the bike and connected it to the app. Checked for firmware updates (latest was installed). From the phone I set up a workout of "Single time" for 1 hour. When started o. The phone (Pixel7) the bike monitor started the workout as expected. Within the first 10 min the phone lost connection 2.times.but regained it. At 12 min the.connection was completely lost. Beside the phone a Polar HR10 heart rate monitor was connected. I hope software updates will address this issue soon.
