SEAMLESS APP & ACCESSORY CONNECTIVITY

Bluetooth and ANT+ compatibility allow quick pairing with heart rate straps, smartphones, and third-party training platforms using FTMS. Once connected, athletes can use the Rogue App to monitor machine activity live, view detailed performance data, and manage training history in one place. The integrated phone holder keeps your device accessible throughout the workout.

COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY ECHO BIKE

No matter when you purchased your Echo Bike, the M2 Monitor Upgrade Kit delivers a plug-and-play solution that brings your machine up to the newest tech standard—and keeps it aligned with future improvements through OTA software updates. Its expandable device holder secures phones and tablets up to 10" wide, keeping your screen in view as you follow structured training and track real-time metrics through the Rogue App. Unlike the Echo Rower and SKI, the Echo Bike does not have a generator so this monitor runs on replaceable batteries that deliver approximately 220 hours of uninterrupted use.

Definitely NOT an upgrade.
This is not an upgrade. Preloaded interval shows :10/:20 intervals, but it won’t let me create a :10/:60 interval because it says :20 is the minimum. The last version was able to make a custom :10/:60 interval so why can’t this version? Would not recommend if you’re wanting to customize your own intervals.

not quite there yet.
the monitor was always the low point of the echo bike, it baffled me that they didn't just clone the PM5 and now that they did its off just enough to disappoint. the display is somehow less helpful (I got used to watching watts and accumulated calories and now that isn't an option) I would appreciate a custom display option that allows the user to adjust the displayed metrics/units individually. I was so excited to have a projected finish, but not being able to adjust the units it displayed seems like a missed opportunity. also as stated elsewhere, pairing with a HR monitor took a bunch of extra steps, and this is the first time I have used the rogue app for workouts - its bad enough that the shopping app and tracking app are the same (it just feels kinda gross) but the workout side of it is more trouble than its worth (so far anyway) I had no problem with installation or instructions, in fact the hardware seems solid but at present I am not refitting the bikes at my gym because it simply doesnt feel like an upgrade with all the software misses.

so-so
I have the concept 2 row & skierg along with the echo bike and have for several years. I absolutely hated the fact that the monitor that came with the echo bike wasn't backlit even though it had a battery. Had it for a few years then this finally came out and I ordered it instantly. For the price of it and how long it took them to come out with it to work with their app I thought it would be better. I know they're trying to rival concept 2 with the monitor and to use for competition & data but I just really thought it would have more options on it or functionality. That said, I had an issue with a couple products in the past and rogue took care of my concerns when I asked them about it. They've always treated me well. I just feel like this is kind of a let down is all.

Not currently worth it
The display looks nice and the integrated phone/tablet holder is convenient, but it doesn't seem to pair with any HR device I've tried (Garmin 955, Garmin HR chest strap, brand new unpaired Polar T31, various apps on iphone). Hopefully an OTA update fixes this but as of now the old display is better

Good product, bad role out.
Received the new console recently. I was excited to finally be able to connect my Apple Watch. 👎. First the package came missing the data cable and the screw driver to install the batteries. I had to wait to be sent those parts. Not to mention there are no instructions on how to install the batteries in the console. I called customer service and they didn’t have any details. I eventually figured it out and got them installed. Attached the new console and I’m ready to go. Wait!! There is no list of what apps or what equipment will work with the console in the instructions. I called customer service again. I’ll have to see what will work and what doesn’t. Rogue’s equipment is always bulletproof, but with this product the care for detail was lost.

Overall good with some room for improvement
The M2 console is overall very good. I have it for the bike, ski, and rower. I also own the c2 rower to compare with the PM5 console. The Good: It connects with my ANT heartrate monitor quickly. Good visibility (finally backlit). Phone holder is an excellent design move. The Bad. One annoying quirk is that you have to initiate workouts from your phone in order for it to show up in your workout log. It would be great if the console could send the workout metrics to the app regardless of where the workout is initiated. The info is already stored in the console I hope an update can fix this. Another quirk is that my heartrate monitor doesn't save. I have to manually add it before each workout. On the echo ski specifically the m2 on my ski the console is loose regardless how much I tighten the bolt. It doesn't fit with the rest of the sturdy assembly. Also a negative is that I had to buy a new echo bike with the former terrible non-backlit console and pay another $150 to throw that out and put this on it. Loses a star for this move alone. For $900 no workout equipment should come with a gameboy looking console. I don't notice any difference in metric monitoring between this and the PM5. I would revise to 4 stars if they make some software improvements into future software updates. Between manually adding my heartrate monitor and having to initiate the workout through the app before each workout is annoying. I'm standing around for a minute each time I switch machines.

Thanks for the detailed and thoughtful feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to break this down. Your notes around workout syncing in the app and HRM recognition will be reviewed. We're also working with you to address the issue with the movement of the monitor on your SKI.

Meh
There is not a view that shows Watts and Cals on the same screen. I used to use Watts to gauge how hard I was working. Now I need to get used to looking at my RPMs instead. They added meters to this but nobody factors in meters when programming bike workouts. Its all calorie based instead. Can't connect to apple watch still. Only real upgrade is the tablet holder if I want to do long steady state I can put my ipad mini there to watch TV.

Major improvement
The M2 is a major improvement from the previous monitors. My favorite part is that you can see split times for interval workouts and projected finishing times/distances. My only "complaint" is that I would like to see the Rogue app integrate with Strava.
