Rogue C-70 Bar

The Rogue C-70 Bar is a shorty 35LB version of the Ohio Bar. Designed for competition use in the CrossFit Games, the barbell's shorter overall length (69") allows athletes to be spaced closer together. This can also benefit anyone training in tight quarters, be it a small garage gym, tight basement or busy training facility. This bar has knurl marks for both Olympic and Powerlifting grips and the distance between collars is 43" versus the standard 52".

The C-70 Bar features the same 28.5MM diameter, American 190,000 PSI steel, bronze bushings, and dual knurl marks as the standard-length Ohio Bar, and is backed by a 3 Year Warranty Against Bending*. Put to the test in CrossFit Games competition, this was the short barbell that supported 400+ pound deadlifts during the Men's Finals.

Important Note: The C-70 Bar has a shorter distance between collars than a standard barbell (43" instead of 52"), meaning it cannot be racked on a standard power rack or squat stand.

F Scale™
The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate
The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Rogue C-70 Bar is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect when you don't need a full size bar This bar is perfect for things like deadlifts and shoulder presses when I don't want to drag the full-size bar out of my rack as it's much easier to move around my gym. Fits great on the wall rack along with the EZ curl bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for what it’s designed for... Perfect for my tight indoor space and low ceiling (without bumpers). Perfect bar for bringing the workouts inside without worrying about damaging walls. Why 4 stars? Immediate paint peel on first use. Not a deal breaker but don’t get used to that nice finish. Iron plates and a collar will scratch the finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Compact Bar Not much to say, it’s just like my standard Ohio bar only shorter. Takes the same amount of abuse and returns equal amounts of resiliency. Bought it to fit longways in the back of my truck so I can workout when I travel and not lose a lot of bead space with the standard length Ohio bar. It serves that purpose well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from C-70 is compact and strong! My home gym is in the garage and there isn’t much room. The C-70 bar is compact, strong and perfect for the home gym or any place where space is an issue. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but Expensive Basement Shortbar Not much to say; wanted a shorter bar for freestanding barbell work in small basement gym--space just too confined for 7' to be practical. This bar retains more loadable end space than the equivalent York bars (however the c-70 won't fit standard rack). Other than that, expensive, and too soon to assesslongterm quality. Keep an eye out for Boneyard opportunity to save about $70 if you can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this bar... Fantastic bar for limited spaces and exercises that are clumsy with a full length barbell. Great quality as always from Rogue. So glad I have this bar to compliment my Power bar. Very versatile. Thanks Rogue

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for small spaces I live in a 600 sq ft apt in NJ so it's perfect for those small spaces!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great in limited spaces I use this at home. I have a concrete back porch that is half covered with stall matts for working out at home when I don't get to make it to the box. Then only down sides I have found are that the bar's whip feels a lot different I guess from it being shorter (not a bad thing just awkward at first) and that if you're tall like me the bar is too short to do snatches unless you're comfortable with a narrow grip. This is a great WOD bar though. It's length makes working out in smaller areas easier.
