2026 Rogue Invitational Individual Men’s Field Is Set

Twenty of the world’s top CrossFit athletes are headed to Aberdeen.
The 2026 Rogue Invitational returns to P&J Live in Aberdeen, Scotland, October 23-25, bringing together a men’s field packed with CrossFit Games champions, Rogue Invitational winners, established veterans, and a new generation pushing toward the top of the sport.
Adler Returns to Defend
Jeffrey Adler returns to Scotland looking to continue his run at the Rogue Invitational. The Canadian won the competition in both 2024 and 2025, successfully defending his title last year after a tight battle with Justin Medeiros and Roman Khrennikov.
Adler finished seventh at the 2026 CrossFit Games and now turns his attention back to a competition where he has proven exceptionally difficult to beat. A third straight Rogue Invitational victory would further cement his place among the event’s most successful athletes.
He’ll have no shortage of challengers.
The 2026 Games Podium Heads to Aberdeen
Leading that group is James Sprague, who arrives as the reigning Fittest Man on Earth.
Sprague captured the 2026 CrossFit Games title after finishing third in 2025, continuing a rapid climb to the top of the sport. He’ll arrive in Aberdeen looking to add his first Rogue Invitational championship after finishing fourth at the event in 2025.
Right behind him are Dallin Pepper and Jay Crouch, who finished second and third at the 2026 Games.
Pepper’s runner-up finish marked another major step forward after placing fourth at the Games in 2025. Now firmly established among the sport’s top contenders, the American will look to carry that momentum into Aberdeen and make a run at his first Rogue Invitational podium.
Australia’s Crouch completed the Games podium in third, improving on his sixth-place finish from the previous season. After finishing fifth at the 2025 Rogue Invitational, he returns as part of a strong Australian contingent with another opportunity to challenge for the top spot.
Former Champions Stay in the Hunt
The field also includes two former Fittest Men on Earth in Justin Medeiros and Jayson Hopper.
Medeiros, the 2021 and 2022 CrossFit Games champion, finished fourth at the 2026 Games and returns to Rogue after taking second behind Adler in Aberdeen last year. With multiple Games and Rogue podium finishes already on his résumé, Medeiros remains one of the most consistent championship threats in the field.
Hopper enters as the 2025 Fittest Man on Earth and finished sixth at the Games this summer. He also showed what he can do on the Rogue stage in 2025, winning multiple events on his way to sixth overall. With his combination of strength, power, and athleticism, Hopper remains capable of changing a leaderboard quickly.
Australia’s Ricky Garard adds another proven podium threat. Garard finished fifth at the 2026 Games, continuing a run that has kept him near the top of the sport for several seasons. After placing seventh at Rogue in 2025, he returns looking to move back toward the Invitational podium.
Roman Khrennikov will be back in Aberdeen after finishing third at the 2025 Rogue Invitational. Khrennikov followed that performance with an eighth-place finish at the 2026 Games and brings years of experience competing against the best in the world.
A Deep Field From Top to Bottom
The depth continues with Guilherme Malheiros and Moritz Fiebig, who finished ninth and tenth at the 2026 CrossFit Games.
Brazil’s Malheiros brings the explosive strength that has made him one of the most dangerous event-win threats in the field, while Germany’s Fiebig continues to establish himself among Europe’s top competitors.
Colten Mertens returns after finishing 11th at the Games and ninth at the 2025 Rogue Invitational. Known for his ability to attack workouts at a relentless pace, Mertens gives the field another athlete capable of putting pressure on the leaders in virtually any event.
Austin Hatfield also returns after a top-15 finish at the Games, while veterans Jonne Koski, Chandler Smith, and Henrik Haapalainen add even more experience to a field already loaded with proven competitors.
Koski has been a fixture at the highest level of CrossFit for more than a decade, while Smith returns to Aberdeen after competing at Rogue in 2025. Finland’s Haapalainen is also back after a strong showing last year that included a second-place event finish in The Crux.
Tudor Magda rounds out the group of invited American athletes, returning to Rogue after another season competing at the highest level of the sport.
The Q Adds Four More
The final four spots in the men’s field were earned through Rogue’s online qualifier, The Q.
Fabian Hermans, Nate Ackermann, Chris Ibarra, and Bayley Martin punched their tickets to Aberdeen after the completion of the qualifier and video review.
For Hermans, it marks a return to the Rogue Invitational after competing in Aberdeen in 2025. Ibarra and Martin bring CrossFit Games experience of their own, while Ackermann will have the opportunity to test himself against one of the deepest fields in the sport.
Martin also adds a third Australian to the lineup alongside Garard and Crouch after finishing 13th at the 2026 CrossFit Games.
