The Load Trainer

ALICE Frame & Load Trainer

Simple in design but a game-changer in the field, the Load Trainer is an innovative, fully stabilized weight post attachment that mounts easily to an A.L.I.C.E. pack frame, both included with this Rogue package. This system gives athletes the ability to carry an exact amount of weight when training on-the-move. Simply add or remove standard Olympic plates to reach your desired weight. It’s far faster and more precise than loading a traditional ruck and makes it easy for multiple athletes to utilize and customize the same unit with virtually no downtime.

The Load Trainer (6.5LB unloaded) is sold brand new and is paired with a lightly used ALICE frame.* Once mounted and loaded, the weight sits securely on the upper middle portion of the back, helping to reduce common injury risks over time. An included hitch pin ensures that the plates remain firmly locked in, and the mounting system prevents any wild shifting or bouncing of the Load Trainer during even high intensity use.

Manufactured in the USA from solid metal, the Load Trainer was designed by a Naval Special Warfare Operator (SWCC) and is a great tool for special warfare / military preparation. There is no longer any reason to rely on guess work when loading a ruck.

*The ALICE Frame comes with a kidney pad and shoulder straps, and the Load Trainer includes all required mounting hardware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just wish Rogue could make the frame!! I bought this back in Aug 2018 and have now gone through 3 ruck frames. I use this thing all the time and love the ease of choosing my ruck load. My only complaint is that the “lightly used” ruck frame suck. All 3 frames I’ve gone through all break in the same places. Rogue, help a brother out....PLEASE. Thanks!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea, works fine. This product works fine, just disappointed that the frame, and pads come worn , scratched, and repainted over rusted areas. I expect better from Rogue. This is the first time I’ve gotten anything sub par from Rogue. My shoulder pads were new, but the kidney pads were obviously taken from beat up unserviceable parts. These are cosmetic and seem small but for $200 I expected more. I’ve spent at least $15,000 from Rogue, and expected better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, I have tips on how to make it a 5 I bought this to further my fitness and get ready for selection for special forces. It took a few weeks to arrive, but rogue kept on the company and kept me updated when I inquired about it. The first Rick I did 45lbs for 1.5 miles and the pain hurt. The pain was from the metal brace dogging into ur back. Simple fix **** I went to Lowe’s and Bought the black pipe insulation that wraps around pipes for 3$ for about 4 ft of this stuff. And a roll of duct tape. Made all the difference and today I did another ruck with no metal digging into my back. The total amount was 5$ to make this an excellent product. I highly suggest this !! Also no instructions come with this so look it up on YouTube if you need help to put it together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use your straps!!! This little gem is awesome. The pain from the bar digging into my back set in after 10 minutes....and continued until I got smart and adjusted the shoulder straps all the way down so the weight of the pack rested on the straps and not on that bar. Pain went away...instantly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Supports a lot of weight but it hurts.. I got this a bit over a month ago and I really like it except that the top portion of the frame really digs into your upper back. Before buying this I would go on hikes and train with an old 40lbs weight vest. I had been using my vest for a long time and wasn't really feeling any resistance anymore with the 40 lbs so I decided to give this a try. I like it because you can load it with weight and it holds. I currently throw 2 25lb plates on there and it's perfect. The only thing is that it hurts a lot on your upper back. Maybe it's a matter of me getting used to it but you really feel it digging into your back. I usually wear a hoodie when I strap this on to have my hood act like a bit of cushion but even then its really painful. I wish they would make some sort of cushion or support piece for it. I would definitely buy it. Another thing I noticed on mine is that the sewing on the straps is coming undone. I have never seen these type of straps before, then again, I am not in the military. Not sure if these are the ones that are issued but the thick part of the straps is attached to the piece of strap that goes to the frame from a loop. That loop that is attached to the thick piece of the strap is where the sewing is giving up. Not sure if it's because of the weight I am using but I figured it would last a bit longer. If that comes undone soon I will definitely come back and change my overall rating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish it had some pads I really do love this backpack I think it's a great way to train. Reason why I give a 3 star, it has no pads where the metal bracket touches your back which hurts with the more weight you add.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built, easy to load... I've been using this to go on 20 to 40 minute ruks after I train. Started with 50# now at 60#, the weight sits higher up in the thoracic region of the spine compared to using a backpack. I did add padding at the top corners to prevent rubbing on the shoulders. If it would have came already padded it would get 5 stars from me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome idea it’s great, it’s real durable, simple put together, and can hold all the weight you put on it but only downfall is the metal bar on the back is resting right on your back, so maybe i just need to adjust the straps but i don’t know the shape of the frame is odd. great purchase and convenience and def worth the price
