Rogue Dog Sled 1.2

Push It. Pull It. Customize It.

The new Rogue Dog Sled is the next evolution of the power sled—compact, tough, and versatile enough for push, pull and speed training on almost any surface. With the addition of holes in the sled’s skis, it’s also now compatible with a wide range of mountable attachments, including the Double Handle, Lawn Boy, Wheelbarrow, and more.

The CrossFit Games battled-tested Rogue Dog Sled comes standard with a quarter-inch steel base plate, 2x3” 11-gauge steel tubing, and a pair of 3-foot upright push bars designed to accommodate both high and low push stances. Compared to many prowler and speed sled designs, the portable Dog Sled has a smaller overall surface area, allowing you to get the most out of the plates that you own.

Improving your body's ability to maximize its use of the anterior and posterior chain is the holy grail of power and performance. This is what ideal resistance sled training can accomplish, and it’s what the Rogue Dog Sled delivers.

1Bridge Attachments

Dog Sled Bridges are 2x3" 11-gauge steel tubes that create additional mounting faces for your sled. IMPORTANT: Bridge Attachments are required if you want to add a Double Handle, Wheelbarrow, Lawn Boy, or Wrap Around Rail sled attachment.

2Low Bar Attachment

Low Bar Attachment – Measures 8-3/8” from ground to center line. 1.9" diameter handle. Helps keep the body more parallel to the ground, emphasizing the quads. Bolts directly to the Dog Sled and the bridges ARE NOT required for installation.

3High Bar Attachment

High Bar Attachment – Measures 17-3/8” from ground to center line. 1.9" diameter handle. Places the user in a more upright position similar to a sprint. Generally easier to push than the Low Bar. Bolts directly to the Dog Sled and the bridges ARE NOT required for installation.

4Double Handle*

Features two bars measuring 11.17” and 16.3” from ground to center line, respectively. Both bars have 1-3/8” diameter handles. Design allows for more height variety than a single attachment. The Double Handle Attachment must be used in conjunction with the bridge attachments.

5Wheelbarrow Attachments*

Kit includes all parts required to turn Dog Sled into loadable wheelbarrow with 500+ LB capacity. Use the provided pair of Axle Collars to secure a 45 LB HiTemp bumper (or other 25+ LB plate) as the wheel (Bumper not included). The handles should sit 9” from ground when installed. The Wheelbarrow Attachment must be used in conjunction with the bridge attachments.

6Lawn Boy Attachments*

Measures 30” from ground. 1-7/8” diameter handles. Can be used for pushing or dragging exercises, with the high placement emphasizing the upper body. A detent pin is used to install the handle for fast, easy change-outs. The Lawn Boy Attachment must be used in conjunction with a bridge attachment.

7Wrap Around Rail*

Allows users to quickly change direction without having to swing the sled around or hook/unhook the strap after each pull/drag—saving both time and energy. Includes carabiner and sled strap. The Wrap Around Rail must be used in conjunction with the bridge attachments.

*Asterisk denotes that the Bridge attachments are required for installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ultimate Sled Purchased 5 Dog Sleds for the Parisi Speed School in Fair Lawn. Absolutely love them especially the wheelbarrow feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Built and Solid My track is an outdoor concrete slab with a smooth finish. I anticipated no problems; however, the sled rails kept hanging on the concrete and tipping it forward. I purchased the plastic skids and they made all the difference. If you are having problems, it is worth giving the skids a try. I would also recommend the Starting Strength video by Mark Rippetoe on the proper form for pushing a prowler. The spinal compression risk is real and not something that you want to deal with after your workout.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheaper than a plate loaded wheelbarrow If you can’t or don’t want to pay for a custom plate loaded wheelbarrow, this is a good alternative. Have loaded up to ~500lbs and does fine. I did not use a hi-temp 45 since I have the rail attachment. I use a pair of steel 45’s that are not standard size and clear the railing. Overall not bad and gets the job done. Doesn’t really affect the use of the sled except for the fact that you’ll have a peg sticking out if you don’t turn the sled around yourself instead of switching the poles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled on the Market!!!! Bought this a couple months ago and have been throwing everything at it. Still looks like I just pulled it out the box! I use it on roads, parking lots, and turf. Works great on all those surfaces. Would not recommend using on a grass lawn unless you want that fresh plowed look in your front yard. Digs into the dirt. I got the plastic kit for road use and was skeptical at first but the plastic skids have held up great. Should get years of use out of them. Well worth the add. If you are thinking of purchasing another brand due to the price DON’T!!! Spend the extra money and get the Rogue!!! Worth every penny and best of all it’s made in the USA!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sled on the Market Dog Sled 1.2 I debated getting the Dog Sled 1.2 for about a year. Obviously, the price was the biggest factor, but after using a number of sleds from other competitors it was very clear which sled is the best on the market. The Dog Sled 1.2 is an absolute BEAST, it’s built like a tank and I’ve loaded it up with 300lbs and had no issue. I was also back and forth between the Echo and the Dog Sled 1.2. Having the ability to customize the sled with different attachments was an easy deciding factor. I bought the high handle, low handle and an extra pair of uprights to go with the sled. This combination gives me 3 different options when pushing and allows me to transfer from the uprights to the handles while I’m pushing for more variety. I can also use the Spud Inc Tow Strap as well which adds to the versatility. The Dog Sled 1.2 has been a great addition to the garage gym and has really helped with conditioning, explosive power, and exercise variety. At first I was concerned I wouldn’t use the sled enough to justify paying $400+, but there are so many uses for this piece of equipment the only limit is your imagination. I purchased the rubber skids, they were easy to attach and total set up took maybe 20min with the additional attachments. While the sled does cost a lot I do believe that with Rogue you get the highest quality product on the market and the best customer service. My only recommendation would be picking up some extra washers to use with the locking washers on the under side of the sled. The features that stand out when compared to other sled on the market: 1. Wide Base - a number of sleds tip forward when you push the causing the nose of the sled to dig into the ground. 2. Flat Plate Storage - doesn’t seem like a bid deal but when you have five or six plates stacked on a raised surface either on the base or on the loading pin it can cause damage to your plates. 3. Skids - there are a number of companies out there that don’t even offer this feature, great for use on roads and hard surfaces. 4. Customizable - some sleds on the market have the rail kit built in, yet this prevents you from being able to add a number of attachments that turn the sled into an extremely versatile piece of equipment. The ability to use the uprights along with the high / low handles and transition to rope pulls or drags allows for endless possibilities. 5. Quality - right when you open the box, you will see what I mean, this sled is overbuilt and you can tell it’s going to last. The Dog Sled 1.2 is as heavy duty as they come, good equipment isn’t cheap and cheap equipment isn’t good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged enough for Bellingham Athletic Club My trainer has wished for a plate sled for two years. The club would not spring for one for the downtown branch. In February, the "Sled Fairy" bought her the Dog Sled 1.2. Lynnette now has all of us doing plate pushes. It gets used daily and shows no signs of wear after a month's use. Rogue makes good gear!
