This version of the Rogue Hip Thruster Bench is designed exclusively for set-up within the 43” space of a Monster Lite rack or rig. It ships fully assembled and includes a pair of 5/8” detent pins for easy installation. (For owners of a Monster Series unit, see the Monster Hip Thruster Bench).

The Monster Lite Hip Thruster Bench is a padded crossmember attachment that gives athletes a stable, comfortable, and space-efficient platform for performing hip thrusts. Each unit is constructed from a 2x4" 11-gauge steel tube that's welded to 5/16" thick formed end plates. Around the tube is a U-shaped, vinyl-covered pad that measures 2.25" thick on the top and 1.5" thick on the sides—offering additional protection from contact with any hard steel surfaces as you train.

Key Features of the Monster Lite Hip Thruster Bench

  • 1Designed Specifically for Hip Thrusts

As an increasingly popular lower body strength training exercise, the hip thrust has been proven effective for developing the glutes (as well as the hamstrings and quads) with far less loading on the spine than traditional barbell squats. This also makes it an excellent option for rehabilitation work. In the movement, the barbell is placed across the hips as the athlete sits on the floor. With each upward thrust of the hips, the shoulders also elevate and level out, which is where the Monster Lite Hip Thruster Bench comes in—providing leverage and padded protection through each rep.

  • 2Easy Set-Up in Monster Lite Rack/Rig

Compatible exclusively with the 43” space of Rogue Monster Lite units, this version of the Hip Thruster Bench offers space efficiency and convenience for any size gym, as the attachment ships fully assembled, with simple installation and takedown as you move through a regimen. The bench features formed channels on each end that can be secured to the uprights using the provided pair of 5/8" detent pins.

  • 3Quality Rogue Construction

Each Hip Thruster Bench is manufactured in the USA using a 2x 4" 11-gauge steel tube welded to 5/16" thick formed end plates with a MG Black powdercoat finish. Around the tube is a U-shaped, vinyl-covered pad that measures 2.25" thick on the top and 1.5" thick on the sides—protecting the back from contact with any hard steel surfaces as you train. The pad is 41” long in total and 7” deep. The entire HTB attachment weighs in at approx. 32 LBS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid This thing is built like a tank. It is kinda awkward to attach. Now that I have gotten the half rack conversion I don't plan on taking it off. The pins were hard to get in the holes. It looks like the bracket was bent too much, making the holes slightly off. A nice feature to add would be multiple sets of holes so the height could be adjusted lower if desired.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not up to usual Rogue standards I had read the negative reviews but went ahead with the purchase anyway. Yes, it is hard to mount on the rack and it does scratch it every time I install it but in my case the real problem is that the end plate on one side is not welded right and I am not able to push the pin through on that side. Seems stable for now with the pin inserted all the way on the other side but I am not sure if it will hold up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from More design issues Like many people I've bought several items from Rogue the past few months, but this is the one item I really regret buying. Setting it up isn't even my main issue; I brace it on my knee in a half kneeling position and I can pin it in myself without damaging the rack. It's annoying, but it works. My bigger issue is this can't be installed at a low enough height. I really need the top of this bench about 13-14" off the ground for hip thrusts, but I can't get it lower than about 16". I have a 490C rack. I can't install the bench on the front of the rack because the spacing is too far apart and the lowest I can get it because of the stabilizer side bars is about 18", the height of a regular bench. I can get it a little lower on the side of the rack at just under 16", which is a little better and would be at least acceptable, but now I have the problem where when using a standard barbell, I can't center myself on the bench because the rack is too close to the wall, so I have to move to the far side of the bench and have one shoulder slightly hanging off the bench (not good). Basically to get this bench to work to both at the height I want and center myself on the bench I'd have to move the rack to the center of the garage and remove a stabilizer bar (no thank you). At least it's sturdy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problematic Pros: Well Built, Solid Construction, A Good Idea in Theory Cons: Unfortunately (and quite surprisingly), it does not even fit onto my Monster Lite Rack. I have tried repeatedly, to no avail. I'm not sure why this would be, but I'm assuming it's because the end-plates where the bench attaches to the rack are bent slightly inward, preventing coaptation with the uprights of the rack. I don't know if all of the benches are like this, or if this is just a defect in my product. I have 43" cross-members attached to the rack, so I know that the width of my rack is as it should be. And of course, as others have stated, attempts to attach this bench to the rack have only succeeded in scratching the rack to near oblivion. I've attached a picture of the primary issue; it is difficult to appreciate in the picture, but the encircled portion is bent slightly inward (it's like this on both sides), so that the workable area where the upright is supposed to fit in is a smaller isosceles trapezoid (which does NOT fit the upright), rather than a square (which WOULD fit the upright). This is the only Rogue product that I've used which I cannot recommend, as it is essentially non-functional. Please fix this, Rogue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total waste of money, poor design I received the hip thruster two days ago super excited to try it out, only to become very disappointed. First issue I found was that it requires two people to attach it to the rack. This is due to the thruster’s bulkiness and the need to balance the thruster line up the holes for the pins. Once the thruster is lines up, the pins still present a challenge for inserting them completely. Additionally, the metal to metal contact causes significant damage to the rack paint leaving large scratches on the surface of the rack. Unfortunately and surprisingly, this is going to the bulk pickup pile this afternoon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sturdy but has flaws!! This was given to me as a Xmas present but due to the difficulty and damage it has done to my rack, I’ve left it on since I bought it. Not only do you need two people to put this on, but this scratches my rack very deeply and paint has chipped off when I attempted to remove it. That being said, the bench is sturdy and made of very durable material.
