R.A.D ONE

Black / Bright White

Available here in an exclusive Black / Bright White colorway, the R.A.D. One is a unisex training shoe designed in Portland, Oregon, and geared toward the needs of the all-terrain, high-motor athlete.

The R.A.D. One is produced in small production runs with quality materials and green principles in mind. Each shoe is cushioned for plyometrics, stabilized for weightlifting, durable enough for rope climbs, lightweight enough for gymnastics, and fine-tuned for the grind of everyday training or high intensity competitions. Better still, they’re equally suitable as casual wear, with a comfortable fit and feel that seamlessly transitions from the gym to the street.

R.A.D. (“Rally Against Destruction”) is a small, independent shoe company founded by a competitive CrossFit athlete and an experienced athletic shoe designer. Together, they have developed a light springy EVA midsole for the R.A.D. ONE called Swell Foam™, which is partly made from sugarcane (currently 30%), reducing the reliance on traditional, fossil-based materials in the shoe’s construction.

Must buy
Been doing CrossFit for 12 years now, wore the nanos, the metcons, the no bull and now the RADs, these are the best as well as they are well rounded. Well rounding meaning you can do every workout imaginable with them including heavy squats and ply lifts. It takes 2-3 weeks to fully break them in. Incredible shoe

Low Quality
These are hands down the worst pair of training shoes I've ever owned. In the past 10 years, I've worn Nano's, Metcon's, TYR's, and just regular sneakers during my workouts; not a single has come apart like these. The midsoles are coming completely off. The issue started happening 3 months in and after 6 months, they became unwearable. Instead of trying to replicate the marketing that you see in sneaker culture, they need to focus on doing QC. There is a reason why huge brands like Nike can get away with hype and limited releases.

RAD ONE review
Just purchased the RAD One trained and they were too narrow. The real disappointing thing is that Rogue charges almost $17 to return a pair of shoes. I ordered the size that was recommended and unfortunately, they did not fit the way I liked. RAD is a brand that unfortunately is only available online and the only opportunity to try the shoes is to purchase them from an online retailer. Because of this, I am now forced to pay an additional $17 and as well as another pair of shoes if I want them to fit correctly. I am disappointed that this is the return policy and I expected better service from a company as reputable and sought after as Rouge. Going forward I will look elsewhere when trying to find a new pair of shoes.

Durability issues…
I’ve ordered RADs from their website, and now rogue. I loved how the pair I ordered from RAD felt. So, I saw rogue has them now and ordered a pair. I don’t know if I just got a bad pair or something, but the bottom sole is already separating from the midsole (the gum bottom is actually two pieces). I didn’t have this problem with my other pair, so I think it may be a fluke, but nonetheless not happy with the durability of this pair.

Great shoe
I’ve never trained in cross training shoes like Metcon’s, TYR’s, etc, so I was a bit hesitant at first to buy these. Decided to give these a shot after seeing Josh Bridges use them and reading plenty of reviews. My feet are very flat, but the shoe provides pretty good support and stability. I went .5 size up (normally wear 10) after reading some reviews, glad I did. Sleek design, breathable, lightweight. So far I’ve used them mostly for conditioning, not disappointed. Would definitely buy another pair.

Just OK and quite narrow
Heard many good things about them so was excited to try them. First, they are NARROW, whoever claimed they have a wide toe box does not have wide feet. Both the Nobull Trainer+ and Nano X3 fit me perfectly with a size 9.5, these are almost Metcon level tight. Definitely size up 0.5 if you have wide feet. Overall, I think they are not particularly better than any other shoe on the market other than looks.

Near perfect all around training shoe.
Really liking the R.A.D. One after doing everything from short runs, plyometrics and heavy lifts. I'm coming from years of various Metcons and wanted a shoe with more cushion and flexibility throughout the sole. These fit the bill perfectly. Great bounce in the forefoot on double unders and box jumps and plenty of stability for cleans, deadlifts, squats, etc. Way better on runs than Metcons. Durability seems excellent so far and they look great. Sizing is true, same as I wear in Nike, 11.5. The only complaints, more like nitpicks, are that they seem to run a little warm, although once in a workout I don't notice that. I have a typical D width foot and I'd like the toe box to be just a hair wider but they have loosened up a bit as they break in. Overall would highly recommend for a great all around training shoe.
