REEBOK NANO X1 FRONING - MEN'S
White / Core Black

The Froning edition of Reebok’s Nano X1 Training Shoe was co-developed with the 4x “Fittest Man on Earth” himself, Rich Froning, Jr. The White / Core Black design includes a sock-like flexweave construction for a locked-in fit, an “Into the Storm” graphic inspired by the bison on Rich’s Tennessee farm, and a 3-part bungee lace closure.

As “the Official Shoe of Fitness,” the Nano series continues a tradition of pushing boundaries and redefining what an all-purpose cross-training shoe can do for and say about an athlete. Built for any type of movement, the X1 model requires little to no break-in time required out of the box. An updated toe shape allows for freer multi-directional movement, the improved heel clip delivers max stability, and new Floatride Energy Foam in the forefoot offers better run cushioning. These new developments, combined with classic Nano features and the input of a champion, put the X1 Froning at the forefront of both durability and versatility, equally suited for sprints, squats, climbs, box jumps, and everything in-between.

Great shoe! Closest to Froning I’m going to get.
I’ve been using Metcons and Nobulls for years now and was looking for a new shoe for training. Never been a big rebook fan, did like the nano 6 and 8, but only pair I have is a custom set of lifters. But wow these are the cats meow ! Comfy and lightweight. I hate cushioning in my shoes but this pair seems to have the right balance between the sole and the insert. Quick laces are a must specially after a hard workout you can just loosened them and pop them off and no laces to come undone during double unders or burpee over bar. Design is epic but not Gody. The nanoX really wasn’t appealing but this x1 is sweet. Well done I’m a fan.

Best Shoes Yet
I have had these shoes for 6weeks now and they are hands down my favorite shoes I have owned. Comfortable and durable. Plus with the laces as they are easy to tighten and loosen while you wear them.

Best CrossFit Shoe Yet
I've owned Nike Metcons, and several versions of Nanos. I really enjoy the no-tie feature on these, They fit well, I've had no slippage in the heel at all as some reviews have, so results may vary based on foot shape. They feel light and look great. After owning them a few weeks, I bought a second pair to save for future use in case these are discontinued. I suppose that's the best indication of my satisfaction. And, they match my workout socks.

Flexible
I bought these shoes right when they came out, and I LOVE THEM! Yes - they can be 'loose' for some people, but I actually prefer the flexibility to either keep the shoe loose or tight (bungee). I haven't had any problems with heel slipping or lack of structure in heavy lifts. The only negatives, which are very adaptable, is 1. the bungee clasp can grind on the top of the foot during GHDs and 2. the bungee must be tight during rope climbs. Even with these slight negatives, I plan to continue buying the Fronings until they are discontinued.

Loose Ankle - little to no ankle support
I bought these as a gift for my husband a few months ago and was really excited for them. But we are pretty disappointed in the shoe. The ankle area has no way to be tightened and it’s extremely loose and offers no support. I’d recommend to get another nano or go with Nike Metcons.
You can see how loose it is with no way to tighten the area

Froning X1: 0 Froning X: 1
I bought these in hopes of working out in them. I loved the Froning X, still have mine from a year and half ago and still use them to workout in. This shoe does not secure the foot like the X. The heel slips out. They turned into really nice walking shoes. I gave them 3 starts still because they are very comfortable, just didn't work for the intended purpose.

It’s an Ok shoe
I wasn’t expecting a show to fit like a pair of booties I wear with a wetsuit. It’s a very comfortable shoe and easy to put on and take off, but I don’t get a tight enough fit with how the laces are designed. I don’t like doing any heavy lifting in them because my feet tend to move around in the shoe, so I use them for short runs and accessory work that don’t require a whole lot of stability at the feet.

Doesn’t live up to Nano standards
I bought these two weeks ago and have done a bunch of WODs in them. Really don’t like them, especially compared to the base Nano X1. Heel slips in them a bunch, the tie down thing gets in the way. Specific: GHD sit-ups the tie down digs into top of foot. Heavy sled pulls, heel slips out Rope clumps shoe actual came off on decent. Probably because there so loose. The regular Nano X1 5 out of 5, these just miss the mark with the tie thing, doesn’t allow you to secure your foot correctly.
