Product Description

The Rogue 20KG Ohio Power Bar is fully machined and assembled in Columbus, OH, using 205K PSI tensile strength steel (200K PSI for Stainless). Approved for competition by the International Powerlifting Federation, this 29MM diameter bar includes single powerlifting knurl marks and a center knurl, with the same deep, coarse (but not overly sharp) knurl pattern as our 45LB Ohio Power Bar. The 20KG bar does have a greater loadable sleeve length than the 45LB bar (16.875” vs. 16.25”). This is a result of the slightly smaller width of the collars.

Rogue 20KG Ohio Power Bar - Stainless Steel

One of the key factors that sets the 20KG Ohio Power Bar apart from other powerlifting barbells in the industry is its friction welded sleeves. A technique borrowed from the worlds of aviation and automotive manufacturing, the friction welding process creates a precision, forged-quality bond, resulting in superior strength and fatigue resistance, as well as a finer grain structure on the welded joint.

The 20KG Rogue Ohio Power Bar includes bronze bushings, a snap ring design, and a Stainless Steel shaft with Chrome sleeves.

Note on Stainless Steel: Barbells made from raw steel are not plated and therefore marks from the machining process may be visible.

Two Finish Options

The 20KG version of the Ohio Power Bar is available in your choice of two quality finishes. F SCALE™

The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

OXIDATION RATE

The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Love it!
I always wanted a stainless steel bar. I already had an Ohio bar, black zinc, but the coating is all worn out in the middle, mostly from squatting, so now I keep the Ohio bar for olympic lifting, and the Ohio Power bar for powerlifting, since the former is rated F8-R, whereas the latter is rated as F2.

Even better than expected
After wanting a good bar for years I finally pulled the trigger on this bar and the difference is even bigger than I thought it would be. I already have a cheap 32mm no-name bar and a good, but worn down bar from a reputable brand (it is 50 years old, so about time for an upgrade) I wanted a powerbar and I wanted something stainless as I lift in a damp garage. The first thing that struck me was how good the knurling was! It hits a goldilocks zone that is sharp and sticky while not being painful. I have always thought people that wrote about not needing chalk anymore was exaggerating, but I have only used chalk once after I got it and it didn't really do anything. The second thing I Noticed is that this bar is a lot more tactile, it is hard to explain, but it is really easy to feel what is going on when I lift. Things like pulling the slack out of the bar in deadlifts made a lot more sense with this bar.

Ah man.. This bar just feels awesome in your hands and on your back. It’s hard to put into proper context but it’s just what moving weight is all about. The stainless steel is awesome. Save up and treat yourself for bday, Christmas, anniversary… whatever. Just get it and feel good. Nothing else to say.

Best bar I ever used
Great barbell, knurling is perfect, sharp but not too sharp. Also for some reason it makes less noise then my other barbells during deadlifts.

The only power bar you'll ever need
I used a couple power bars in the gym but this stainless steel barbell beats all of them by far. The grip is in my opinion very aggresive which is awesome. I rarely use chalk for if and when I do use chalk(only for deadlifts) I use very little since the knurling and grip is so good, my hands get too dry from the chalk and the aggresive knurling starts to tear off my caluses. Moderation is key for me when using chalk with this barbell: I won't need alot, ever. I got the stainless steel shaft and chrome sleeves, 0 rust accumulated so far and I've had it for 4+ months in a room that sometimes get very hot and humid. I don't have an a/c in that room(my other barbell made of iron started rusting after only 1 month). Very durable barbell to rust and it probably will be for years if I maintain it properly. Another plus: this barbell looks super good. The only power bar I'll ever need, nothing else is even close if I compare it to the other barbells I've used in public gyms over the years. I'm sure this barbell will last easily for 30-40+ years. Amazing quality.

Very good Bar with slight quality issues
Excellent Barbell, one of the best knurling options out there. However, for the money there are a few nitpics worth noting: The sleeves fit rather loosely and make after every full turn a click noise, the packaging is not great as well as the UPS Shipping.
