Available in a very limited run, we have produced this exclusive Cerakote version of the classic Matt Chan Bar, featuring a black cerakote finish on the shaft and chrome sleeves and the Chan logo on the center of the shaft in white.
The Chan Bar is manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, and was developed with CrossFit legend and Rogue Athlete Matt Chan. As a former firefighter and four-time Top 10 finisher at the CrossFit Games, Matt is a man whose opinions tend to carry weight around here. That’s why we invited him to come to Columbus and help us create a custom barbell that would uniquely combine the qualities of a powerlifting bar and an Olympic weightlifting bar.
This bar is manufactured from the same quality U.S. steel as our Ohio Bar, with both powerlifting and Olympic lifting knurl marks. Matt added a passive center knurl to the bar for athletes who prefer a little extra “stick” when in the front rack position or back squatting, but it won’t shred the skin like more aggressive center knurls might. He has also increased the distance between the outer knurling, which allows for a wider stance on cleans and deadlifts without the knurling scraping the shins.

What is a Boneyard Bar?
A Boneyard Bar is a brand new, second-quality barbell off of Rogue’s standard production line. These bars may have minor cosmetic issues such as finish blemishes or inconsistencies with the knurl. If any flaw is found on a Rogue standard barbell, it is added to the Boneyard. These bars are guaranteed to arrive in new, ready to hit the gym condition.
Do all Boneyard Bars have finish blemishes?

Do all Boneyard Bars have double tracked knurling?
No. Double tracked knurling is just one of the issues that can cause a bar to be sent to the boneyard. A small surface blemish could be the only fault. (See image below for double tracked knurl description)

Will Raw Steel rust?
A Raw Steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.
Do Boneyard Bars carry a warranty
No. All Boneyard Bar sales are final.
