Rogue Echo Dog Sled

Our Most Cost Efficient Steel Speed Sled

The Echo Dog Sled adapts the push/pull versatility and quality steel construction of our standard Dog Sled into a more streamlined, budget-priced design. By cutting the base from a single 0.25" Plate Steel and reducing welds and scrap, we’ve built a maximum-efficiency weight sled that’s still equipped for intense, multi-surface training.

One-Piece Steel Construction

To reduce the weight, bulk, and cost of the unit, we constructed the Echo Dog Sled by taking a sheet of 0.25" plate steel and forming it into a single-piece, solid base. There are only four welds on the entire sled, and those were used to create the corner sockets for the (2) included uprights. The completed sled creates a compact 36.5" x 25" footprint, and because it’s manufactured at Rogue HQ, you can count on the professional quality of the work and durability of the product.

2

Optional Skis for Floor Protection

As with our standard Rogue Dog Sled, the Echo version can be ordered with protective plastic skis, which can greatly reduce the risk of floor damage for those training in an indoor gym space.

3

No Part Left Unused

In an innovative design twist, the cut-outs found in the middle of the Echo Dog Sled are actually re-utilized as stiffeners for the underside of the sled (they can be easily installed by the user during set-up). The additional 0.25" Plate Steel bracing created by these stiffeners supports the sled against any flex caused by its one-piece design.

Great Companion Piece to Standard Dog Sled

Along with offering substantial functionality on its own, the Echo Dog Sled also makes a good working complement to our standard, top-tier Rogue Dog Sled 1.2. Gym owners, coaches, and trainers can provide more athletes with a quality push/pull sled at a reduced cost, while still preparing them for the use of the more advanced Dog Sled, which offers compatibility with a wide range of mountable attachments, including the Double Handle, Lawn Boy, Wheelbarrow, and more.

Compact Sled, Ample Capacity

Compared to many prowler and speed sled designs, the portable Echo Dog Sled has a smaller overall surface area, allowing you to get the most out of the plates that you own. The provided 17" weight post has a load capacity of 450+LB pounds in steel plates—so pile them on to your heart’s content.

Great and works on grass too
I couldn't find a conclusive or thorough answer as to whether or not a push sled would work on grass, so I picked this one as the most affordable and most likely candidate and gave it a shot. YES, it works on grass with metal skis and small amounts of added weight. The friction is much higher, so it can't be loaded as heavy as pushing on turf/pavement, but it does still work. I wanted this for conditioning anyway, so empty sled or +25/45lbs for short-rest work is great for me. My wife (lifter, ~125lbs) can push it empty as well. The plastic add-on skis stuck in the grass and tore some up, so I took those off and went with bare metal only. No need to spend the extra $30 on plastic add-on if you're going to use it on grass. Video with review.

Our members love it
We have turf on our gym floor that is about 4ft wide by 60ft long. We had another sled that required members to have to turn it around and we were worried about that tearing up our turf. We love how much weight this sled can take and that the posts can be moved from one side the other without having to change the sleds direction.

A great purchase!!!!
I bought this sled a few months ago and it has been a tremendous addition to my home gym. Get the plastic skids because it will allow you to use the sled on any surface, including concrete. Very well made just like all Rogue products. It was money very well spent!!!!

High quality and versatile
This sled is a beast! I'm doing drags, pushes, rope pulls, and using it as a base for battle rope training. I have a long room in my basement. I tie a rope to each side, and we "pull the rope" till we can't. Do it for the difficult.

You get what you pay for
We previously bought the Rogue dog sled and they are great. The Echo sled seems smaller and less stable. Spend the extra money for the dog sled. Also good luck returning…
