Wheeled Barbell Jack
1

Wheeled Barbell Jack

The HD Bar Jack is one of the few barbell jacks in the industry built with wheels for free-range maneuverability within a training space. The advantage of this design is clear, as a powerlifter can fully load a bar to the desired weight direct from a plate rack, then move the loaded bar into a separate area for the lift. This requires a strong set of wheels, so we placed three on each side, measuring 72MM in diameter and equipped with a bearing and two bushings each. The 3-wheel stack-up allows the HD Bar Jack to roll smoothly in both the loaded position (using the two front wheels) or the unloaded position (using the back wheels).

Easier, Safer Way to Load a Bar

Easier, Safer Way to Load a Bar

The central purpose of a bar jack, of course, is take the pain out of loading and unloading the barbell for deads and other lifts that start from the ground. Just prop the jack under the bar, pull the handle back to elevate, and slide on more weight just like you would if the bar was racked.

Heavy-Duty Rogue Construction

Heavy-Duty Rogue Construction

The HD Bar Jack is manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, using materials up to the task of heavy-weight, competition-level powerlifting. The unit’s crossmember is made from 4"x2" 11-gauge steel tubing, and connects to a pair of 0.375" thick laser-cut steel endplates. The vertical portion of the 36” long T-shaped handle goes directly through the crossmember for maximum stability, and is made from schedule 40 pipe. The 14" horizontal top portion of the handle is constructed from 1" solid round steel, and includes a rubberized grip.

UHMW Protective Plastic

UHMW Protective Plastic

Another key feature of the HD Bar Jack is the use of a 0.5" thick UHMW plastic lining within the cups where the barbell rests. This plastic ensures that the bar shaft will never come into metal-to-metal contact that could potentially damage the knurl—an important layer of protection, especially with the heavier weights this jack will be picking up.

Ok but could be better
This is a great jack if you are using stiff bars. As soon as you go to a Kabuki deadlift bar this fails. The weights start touching the floor. They should have made the jack wider and that would have helped solve the problem.

Heavy and Bulky
Used a few of these jacks loading plates at a national competition and I would certainly not buy one myself. The jack itself is of quality construction and materials, but its incredibly heavy and bulky. The weight and bulk make it a nightmare to pickup and move quickly. The wheels are a nice feature but are really only especially useful for moving a heavily loaded bar around. The notches that the bar rests in are too small to quickly get the bar jacked up, you often have to manually roll the bar into them or be relatively precise with the jack. Dumping the bar again is also a pain, you often have to rotate the jack so far forward all the wheels come off the ground and then yank the jack out. If space is no concern, you often need to move heavily loaded bars around, and construction quality (durability) is more important than efficiency or ease of use, this is a decent jack. If not, there are cheaper and better options available.

Amazing
This bar jack is unbelievable. I can't believe how long I was sliding 45 lb plates down one side, struggling and prob. hurting my final deadlift set in the process. It's so easy to move similar sized plates down to the collars - for what it can do, it's not that heavy to pick up and move if you don't have adequate space to roll it around. So glad I got this - my lifts are benefitting from it. Thanks for a great product, Rogue! I'm a customer for life.

Heavy duty, easy to elevate bar off the floor.
I bought this a month ago as I was looking for something besides using a deadlift wedge. I was debating between this and the Rogue Deadlift Bar Jack. I have seen people using the Rogue Deadlift Bar Jack and would have to use their foot to push down on center square tubing to elevate the bar off the floor since pulling on just the handle wouldn't do it. This model is much better as the wheels make it easy to elevate the bar off the floor by pulling on the T handle and it is easy to roll around to position the bar on the platform. Glad I bought this model.

Easy to use. Just buy it!
I had originally purchased the Deadlift Jack (has since been returned). It was okay and it did it's job, but this is 10X better. Night and day comparison. The wheels make it extremely easy to load and unload the barbell and it just looks awesome in your gym.
