The Rogue Ohio Power Bar

Fully machined and assembled in Columbus, OH, the 29MM Rogue Ohio Power Bar features a 205,000 PSI steel shaft, single powerlifting knurl marks, and center knurling. The bar’s knurl pattern is deep and coarse without being sharp or abrasive, and the 29mm shaft diameter and high tensile strength result in little to no flex or whip. This makes the Ohio Power Bar the go-to for the bench, squat, and deadlift.

The Rogue Ohio Power Bar includes bronze bushings, a snap ring design, and 16.25” of loadable sleeve length. It’s available as a 45LB bar, with your choice of two finish options: Black Zinc shaft with Bright Zinc sleeves, or Bare Steel. Also, we are offering the Rogue 20KG Ohio Power Bar, with friction-welded sleeves and 16-7/8" loadable sleeve space.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Please Note: Like any fine piece of machined steel, a bare steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.

Rogue Ohio Power Bar is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 89.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bar for the money I bought the bare steel version last summer. It has been used heavily in my garage gym, and I feel like I can finally weigh in on what it does well and what it doesn't do well. First, this is a power bar. In my opinion, it is best left for pressing and squatting movements. I find the aggressive knurling to be more of a problem than a benefit for deadlifting. Truthfully, the knurling is bordering on being unnecessarily aggressive for squats as well. It will sometimes take some of the cotton off when positioning the bar. Secondly, I would advise anyone thinking about introducing Power Cleans or Snatches (at the beginner level) to get the B&R bar instead of this one. Either Olympic lift would KILL your hands with the Ohio Power bar. Having said all of that, this is a probably the best bar for your money for powerlifting. If you can only buy one bar, then I would likely consider the B&R instead of this one; however, if you want to have multiple bars (ie. I use a Castro bar for deadlifts and power cleans), then this does a great job at squatting and pressing. Additionally, anyone that is serious about Olympic lifts should be looking at a 28mm bar anyway....the B&R isn't the best option for everything, but it is a good all around bar. This bar is one a one trick pony (powerlifting), but does it very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bar My gym had this bar as well as a few other random bars. If it was available I'd always go out of my way to get this one. Now I don't have to since I bought one for my home gym :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bare Steel Is Awesome! My bare steel version arrived today and I'm very impressed; I wanted aggressive knurl and I got it. It beats the the feel of the newer TPB in zinc and the older bare steel model that you can find second hand, if you're lucky. I've handled the zinc OPB and it was nice, but I think the aggressive knurl gets a little lost in the coating. If Rouge ever comes out w/a stainless steel model, it would be well worth the coin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Bar I ordered the Ohio Power Bar for the gym I work at. Straight out of the box, it is beautiful! As a woman with small hands, I am confident that I can grip this bar even with the 29 MM shaft; the knurling is deep but doesn't cut into my hands too much. Already had several great comments from members as well! I would definitely buy one for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not too shabby I bought three of these. Pretty good bars. Solid. I don't prefer one over the other two. Much obliged Rogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built to last Love this bar, won't bend or break. I've dropped it with 3 plates on each side onto metal bars and it has no marks and didn't bend in the video.
