Product Description

Upgrade your training space with the Rogue Monster Rhino Trainer, allowing you to get the most out of your Rogue Monster Rack. Designed around the Rogue Monster Rhino Belt Squat, the Rhino Trainer is available in two different versions.

Rhino Rack Trainer

The Rack Trainer version includes the Rhino Belt Squat and a 1:1 lat pulldown and Low Row.

Rhino Functional Trainer

The Functional Trainer version adds a 2:1 functional trainer in addition to the Rhino Belt Squat and 1:1 lat pulldown included on the Rack Trainer version.

Like the original Rhino Belt Squat, both versions utilize a 1:1 pulley ratio from a single weight source, meaning no special attachments or reconfiguration is needed when switching from belt squats to lat pulldowns and low rows.

Secure your legs for lat pulldowns using the optional Monster Multi-Use Rack Roller or add our Doghouse attachment for the ability to do box squats.

Rogue Monster Rhino Rack Trainer

Upgrade your training space with the Rogue Monster Rhino Trainer, allowing you to get the most out of your Rogue Monster Rack. Designed around the Rogue Monster Rhino Belt Squat, the Rhino Trainer is available in three different versions.

RHINO RACK TRAINER

The Rhino Rack Trainer combines the Rhino Belt Squat with a 1:1 ratio lat pulldown and low row, powered by a single plate-loaded weight source. This setup delivers multi-purpose lower and upper body training in a compact setup.

Rhino Functional Trainer

The Rhino Functional Trainer builds on the Rack Trainer by adding a 2:1 functional trainer to the existing Rhino Belt Squat and 1:1 plate-loaded lat pulldown and low row, all powered by a single plate-loaded weight source. It expands training capacity while maintaining a consolidated footprint.

Rhino + INDY Functional Trainer

The Rhino + INDY Functional Trainer combines the plate-loaded 1:1 lat pulldown and low row with the Rhino Belt Squat, and adds 2:1 independent 300LB weight stacks for the front trolleys. This configuration provides smooth, balanced resistance and fast adjustments, with a total functional resistance feel of 150LB per side.

Like the original Rhino Belt Squat, both versions utilize a 1:1 pulley ratio from a single weight source, meaning no special attachments or reconfiguration is needed when switching from belt squats to lat pulldowns and low rows. The new removable Low Bracket and Footplate further expand functionality, enabling smooth low row transitions, while the optional Monster Multi-Use Rack Roller offers added support for lat pulldowns.

GRANDFATHER CLOCK TENSIONING SYSTEM

(Patent Pending)

Because squats start from the top, rather than the bottom of the lift, the Rhino trolley also needs to start at the top of the range of motion. While this is easy in an open ended design like the Rhino Rack Trainer, for a closed loop, single-weight-source, multifunction cable system like the Rhino Functional Trainer, a new mechanism was required to make it possible to start most lifts from the bottom of the trolleys range of motion and then allow squats to start from the top of the lift.

In order to maintain cable tension while the trolley is resting on the Rhino horn, a precisely calibrated counterweight descends using a patent pending apparatus consisting of multiple pulleys and cables, all internal to the 3x6 upright. When the lifter attaches the belt, the counterweight is retracted and lifting can begin as normal.

The system is so cool we added a window into the upright so you can see it in action.

INNOVATIVE PULLEY CONFIGURATION

The patent pending pulley configuration achieves a 2:1 ratio for the functional trainer and 1:1 for the lat pulldown and low row, using a single plate-loaded trolley. This configuration allows the user to seamlessly move between the lat pulldown, belt squat and trolleys without ever needing to reconfigure or attach/detach a carabiner. This also only requires only one weight adjustment in use. This single weight source design ensures even loading, eliminating any possibility of side-to-side imbalances.

COMPATIBILITY AND VERSATILITY

Unlike many competitor models that require proprietary, specialized attachments to be able to achieve a 1:1 load for lat pulldown and low row that bridge two cables, the Rogue Rhino Rack Trainer and Rhino Rack Functional Trainer are compatible with all standard cable attachments.

OVERBUILT BY DESIGN

This unit is manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, and features 3x3" arms and crossmembers, a 3x6" weight trolley tower, and a 3/16” US made Mil spec aircraft cable. When not in use, the trolley is stored on a 1" thick UHMW plastic hook, or “Rhino Horn.” A diamond-tread plate platform provides steady footing, adjustable handles offer overhand and neutral grip options, and our exclusive Rogue Multi Belt (included standard) easily accommodates most waist sizes, with adjustments from 41” to 61”.

SEAMLESS TRANSITIONS

Transition to different movements on the Rhino Rack Trainer or Rhino Functional Trainer with ease. With our 1:1 pulley design in the Rack Trainer and the integrated 1:1 and 2:1 pulley system in the functional trainer there is no need to reconfigure your rack or cable attachment points when going from belt squats to lat pulldowns, 2:1 movements, or vice versa.

BUILT ON THE MONSTER RACK 2.0

The Rogue Monster Rack 2.0 is a fully customizable rack utilizing 3x3" 11-gauge steel tubing, over-sized 1" hardware, and a bolt-together design for easier portability and affordable shipping. The 2.0 version includes a wide spectrum of custom color options, laser-cut pin position numbers on the uprights and bottom crossmembers, and a keyhole pattern on the sides of each upright—creating compatibility with more add-ons and attachments.

Key Features of the Rogue Monster Rhino Rack Trainer

FULLY CAPABLE: RHINO BELT SQUAT, LAT PULLDOWN/LOW ROW, AND FUNCTIONAL TRAINER OPTIONS

Get more out of your rack by adding belt squat and lat pulldown/low row capabilities or opt for the functional trainer version and add adjustable height 2:1 swivel trolleys. Available as a drop-in for a 24”, 30”, or 43” section of a Rogue Monster Rack, the Rhino Rack Trainer transforms your home gym into a well rounded training space allowing for a wider range of exercises within a single compact unit, while maintaining the full functionality of your power rack.

MULTIPLE ACCESSORY OPTIONS

Hit the ground running with your training. Choose between a number of lat pull and low row attachments, or functional trainer trolley handles to go along with the included Multi-Belt. Our Multi-Use Rack Roller attachment is also available to add even more functionality. If you opt for the functional trainer version, single handle cable attachments are also included. Explore the numerous exercises using the compact Rhino platform, from standing hamstring curls and leg extensions, to bicep curls and more.

NO RECONFIGURATION NEEDED

Our pulley configuration allows for a lat pulldown system to be added to our Rhino Belt Squat without having to reconfigure or attach/detach cables when changing movements, all while maintaining a 1:1 weight ratio, meaning you are lifting the exact weight you load on the Rhino trolley. The functional trainer version adds dual 2:1 adjustable height swivel trolleys that are also grab and go.

EXPANDED RANGE OF EXERCISES

Explore the numerous exercises available using the compact Rhino platform in combination with the optional Multi-Use Rack Roller Attachment, from standing hamstring curls and leg extensions, to bicep curls, wrist curls, hip thrusts, seated calf raises and more, all while maintaining the belt squat capabilities of the Rhino.

RHINO HORN

This is a 1" thick UHMW plastic horn, sandwiched between steel plates, that holds the trolley when not in use. The Rhino Horn is adjustable up and down so that the "racked" or resting height of the trolley can be accommodated to specific users heights.

1:1 WEIGHT RATIO (RHINO RACK TRAINER) 1:1 AND 2:1 WEIGHT RATIO (RHINO FUNCTIONAL TRAINER)

Integral to the design of the Rhino Rack Trainer is its 1:1 weight ratio, so the weight that is loaded on the trolley is the actual weight felt during the movement performed. This also uses a single weight source so you can use any standard cable attachment. The Rhino Functional Trainer and Rhino + INDY Functional Trainers add dual adjustable height 2:1 swivel trolleys while still being able to use standard cable attachments for both the 2:1 and 1:1 attachment points.

Summary of Reviews

Customers overwhelmingly praise the exceptional build quality, smooth cable performance, and commercial-grade durability. Most describe the equipment as overbuilt and tank-like with premium finishes and solid welds. The cable system glides with zero friction and moves incredibly smoothly in every position. Assembly is demanding, typically requiring five to twelve hours and often a second person, though instructions are clear. Some users report frustration with plate stack shrouds interfering with pulleys, and a few mention misaligned parts or missing hardware. Despite these minor concerns, nearly all customers affirm they would purchase again.

Simply the Be(a)st
From ordering, shipping, assembly, and use the Rogue Monster Rhino Trainer has exceeded all expectations. This is the main attraction in my garage gym and I am so impressed with the build quality and versatility of this piece of equipment. A few concerns I had going into this purchase have been non-issues and I am very relieved about that...no buyers remorse at all and I'd like to share a few notes: I was worried with the rhino platform that I would not be able to get a bench in the right position to incline and decline bench press inside the rack. This has not been a problem for me, I can bench at all angles I have tried so far using j-cups or monolifts and by pushing the bench all the way up the edge of the platform. It's not needed, but sometimes I do switch it up and bench off the front uprights. I was worried about having full range of motion with the cables/trolleys. The bolts on the top and bottom of the uprights do take away some room for the trolleys to go all the way up or down, but I am 5'7"ish and I get full range of motion and extension for bicep exercises from the bottom using a multitude of attachments. My rack is 100" so absolutely no issue with range of motion from the top, but I feel like a 90" rack would also be fine. I was also worried about having to manually load weight plates on the rhino horn when doing lat pulldowns or using the lower lat attachment, as the design of this trainer does not use the indy weight stacks for those exercises. I have no issues with it at all and actually love loading the weights up. The adjustments are easy between sets and the rhino is so smooth. Some might prefer the connivence of just moving the pin on the weight stack(s) but the rhino integration has worked very well for me. Shipping was smooth, everything arrived ahead of schedule, assembly was not as bad as I expected. I used a second person to help secure the top crossmembers, other than that it was a completely solo assembly. I used a combination of the online videos on my laptop and the instruction manual. WARNING - open all boxes first and find the actual thick instruction book for the Rhino Trainer (mine was in the box with the diamond tread plates for the rhino platform) as this is the actual book you need, not the indy and not the FM-6 instruction booklet. I was missing one pin, rogue rushed a replacement to me for free, easy peasy. The shrouds sucked to get into position! They felt like they were cut just a little too long on the bottom to account for the rhino platform, but with some force and almost losing the tip of a finger (long story) they are secure and stable now. Be careful with those shrouds if they don't initially fit. All parts are of the highest quality, the finished product is a joy to use everyday, and the amount of accessories and configurations you can come up with using this trainer is insane. The cables are the smoothest I have ever used.

The best out there!
It doesn’t get any better. I’ve had mine for 9 months and use it religiously. Very well built and heavy duty. Was torn between the Rogue FM-6 and REP. So glad I went with the Rouge. Seen the REP first hand after I bought the Rouge and the REP doesn’t even compare.

Solid build, great rack!
Bottom line: Solid build, great rack, and excellent customer service. After months of research and ad bombardment from every home gym maker on the planet I decided to go with Rogue. Turns out I could have just asked anyone else. If you didn't know like me, Rogue is the gold standard. I'm very happy with my purchase. This thing is smooth, solid, and built in the USA. It was also delivered several weeks earlier than I expected which was nice. I'll add a few thoughts for anyone interested. I went with the 80" height to fit in a small basement area. I didn't want to take up garage space and I figured I would use it much more often with it being in the house. The 90" would probably be scraping my ceiling or close and I didn't want to lose the ability to do pull-ups. That being said, the extra 10" would have been nice if it was a possibility. Plus you gain the option of adding color to the trainer. I think the standard black looks pretty sweet though. Because of the pull-up bar the trolleys don't go all the way to the top so doing exercises like a tricep pushdown the starting point for the exercise is too low. So, I have to do the exercise from my knees. Just something to consider when choosing height. Overall, I would still choose the 80" in the space I have over a 90" in the garage. Assembly wasn't too bad. I was able to build it solo. I had my MacBook out with the pdf instructions, video, and the 3d image from the main order page. Terry from customer service was super helpful and responsive. Easy to reach anyone over the phone or by email. The color of the bench I ordered was wrong and they fixed it immediately without any hassle. I had to abort the bottom cable guard assembly because it just didn't fit right, but that really wasn't a big deal. I did not order the shroud assembly and I don't regret that. Make sure you assemble it right where you want it because this thing is super heavy. No need to bolt it to the floor I think. I didn't want to pay separate shipping fees so I ordered multiple barbells and accessories with the order. I'm very happy with everything and I've been down there lifting almost every day. If this thing adds even one month to my longevity or ability to work then it's paid for itself. I highly recommend.

Monster Series Rogue FM-6 Twin Functional Trainer
I absolutely love the Rogue Fm-6 Twin Functional Trainer Monster Series. This setup completely transformed my space into a high-performance garage gym, and the quality is exactly what we expected from Rogue, MADE IN THE USA! The functional trainer is rock solid, smooth and built for a lifetime. The assembly took me about three days to build, and I did it entirely by myself. It's definitely a serious build, and every step was worth it once everything came together. The structure is incredibly stable, and the dual adjustable pulleys give me a multitude of exercise options. Best investment and highly recommend!

Beast of a rig!
Long over due review. Beast of a rig! Purchased this 6-post Indy Functional Trainer with dual weight stacks and a drop-in Rhino Belt Squat a few months ago. Best purchase ever! It has taken me and my family’s fitness journey to a whole new level! And, at the comfort of our home too. Can’t beat that luxury! Thanks, Rogue!!

Extremely high-end. American made at its best
This thing is the definition of quality (and luxury). Super smooth pulleys, stable, overbuilt, attention to detail in all finishes. This is Rogue at its best. Assembly is an undertaking. Be prepared to spend at least 2 days getting this together. A second person is definitely required for most of the assembly, though I was able to work around the instructions in a way that minimized my need for help from my neighbor. Rogue customer service was great. One part arrived damaged by a forklift. They helped me get the right part relatively quickly.
