Summary of Reviews

The Rogue FML-6 functional trainer is an exceptionally well-built and versatile piece of gym equipment that offers a wide range of workout options in a compact space. Customers are overwhelmingly impressed with the quality, durability, and smooth operation of the pulleys and cables. Many praise the customization options, such as the ability to choose the weight stack size, and the overall functionality that allows them to perform a diverse range of exercises. While the assembly process can be time-consuming and requires at least two people, most customers found the instructions and video guides helpful, with only a few minor issues reported. The only significant complaints were from a small number of customers who experienced missing or incorrectly fabricated parts, leading to frustration and delays in the assembly process. However, these seem to be isolated incidents, and the vast majority of customers are extremely satisfied with their purchase and consider the product to be an excellent investment for their home gym.

Amazing Trainer
Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. It was pricey but I think worth every penny. This piece is rock solid. The construction is top notch. The delivery was sooner than expected. Got it 3 weeks. It arrived on two pallets. There’s a lot of parts, but I spread them out and marked each piece. I read the reviews about the assembly being difficult. I read the instructions before it arrived and familiarized myself with the process. It was pretty easy overall. I constructed it myself so it took a few hours, about 5-6 overall. Would have been much faster with two people. Can’t say enough about the quality of everything. It is amazing. The rack is rock solid and the pulley system is smooth.

Spectacular
This is a fantastic piece of gym equipment. The FML-6 trainer can do so much within a small space, it's been a large improvement over my previous RML-3 (which I was able to pass down to family members since I now have a larger space). Finally I can do lat pull downs, cable row, and so much more. I have this installed as the primary equipment within a garage gym, where I complement it with a dumbell rack and assortment of barbells and it's about all that most folks will need to perform a truly massive repertoire or movements. I customized my rack slightly, opting for the 250lb weight stack among other things - I love how personalized my rack is, and it stands out boldly in my garage in bright red, just demanding that it be acknowledged - it gets a lot of compliments :). This hardware is extremely rugged and well-engineered as you would expect from Rogue - it should last pretty much forever even given moderate levels of abuse. The design is brutal in its simplicity yet I find elegance in both the aesthetic and the density of functions achieved. It did take quite a few hours to put together but I only needed a second person briefly to help with getting the sides upright and connected. Although I was initially worried about it, the cable system is surprisingly easy to run and the cables feel fantastic when all is finished. I did have some struggles due to receiving cables of the wrong length and this led to some delays in getting my rack up and running, but the customer service at Rogue is better than I ever knew... those guys gave me one of the best customer service experiences of my life and then threw in a Rogue gift credit for the inconvenience. Obviously it's expensive, but I think this kind of a purchase lends itself to the "buy it for life" mentality. And, with the volume of metal being used, I just don't see how these are going to get much cheaper over time. I would look at it and say it represents a good half dozen pieces of equipment simultaneously and within a fraction of the space and therefore the value is very high... I've been lifting consistently for about 2 decades and cannot think of any serious point of complaint or obvious point of improvement... Just a heads up that this comes delivered on pallets and it took me hours to get through all of the unpackaging and subsequent trashing of the boxes and pallets. Of course I'm giving this a full 5 stars and recommending it for any prospective buyers. Only reason not to buy this is if you don't actually workout with actual weight and don't need something this hardcore :)

Real deal
I bought this unit with a few accessories. I have to say the shipping quality was amazing. The trolley and cable system is robust. The build quality is very detailed on every piece of the rack. The directions were good for most of the build excluding some areas. It took 2-3 people to build as directed. Overall, I am happy I went with Rogue for a functional rack. The cable system with the weight stack is superior quality. On the other hand as everything seemed perfect, something’s were not. One of the trolley’s, despite multiple attempts of trying to calibrate wouldn’t engage both pin holes as I tried to adjust up and down the upright. I called customer service support and they recommended me to look at step 8. Still no luck. The 1” J-cups I ordered were big and feel amazing, but one of them does not fit well on the upright post. I ordered the multi use roller for the rack and it is big and feels amazing. Fantastic upgrade for the rack i must say. Only issue is that after putting on the roller the safety pins did not match up with the holes in the upright post. I would recommend this fml rack and I would buy it again despite some frustrations with some imperfections. This product is not cheap, so frustrations can build quickly, but from my prior experience rogue has AMAZING customer service!

Missing parts of my order
I ordered this squat back in January arrived yesterday, however when it was delivered, I was missing a pallet. Now I have to wait until Monday until both Rogue Fitness and the carrier R+L Carriers customer service is back in office. The boxes will sit in my garage until this issue is resolved which may take some time as they have to figure what went wrong and re-ship the missing parts. Kind of a big oversight on both Rogue & R&L to miss an entire pallet. Not the experience I expected when I spent this much money on a squat rack.

well built
I bought this a couple months back and as with all Rogue products, it’s well built. The issues I have is that the powder coating is no where near as durable as my old rack that I bought in 2019. The other issues I have has to do with the functional trainer portion. My wife (5’-5”) has to stand on a 10” platform to perform any type of curls to get full extension. When I do cable flys or crossovers I have to be very careful not to slam the trolley off the upper stops on the 250lb weight stack. Maybe this would be better if I got the plate loaded model. I lime Rogues products and the american made aspect but knowing these things now I would definitely look at other options or do a separate functional trainer instead of an all in one.

Nice Machine INSTRUCTIONS DON"T EXIST for WS opt.
I need to express my frustration and concern regarding the lack of clear and accurate assembly instructions for this piece of equipment we purchased. After paying over $4,000 for this rack, it is unacceptable that there are no specific instructions provided for the actual machine we ordered. We should not be expected to print multiple sets of instructions and attempt to piece them together to determine how the equipment is supposed to be assembled. To further complicate the issue, the instructions initially sent to us were for the FM-HR model. The very first step in those instructions is incorrect for our unit, as it shows the handles facing outward rather than backward. Not to mention, following these incorrect instructions has required us to backtrack all the way to the beginning of the assembly process to undo and correct the very first step. At this point, it is unclear which directions we are expected to follow: FML-HR plate loaded? Weight loaded (which, to my understanding, does not even exist)? FML-6, which appears to be the instructions provided for the weight stack? We should not be left guessing how to route cables or determine proper configuration for a piece of equipment at this price point. Clear, model-specific instructions should have been provided from the start. While the Machine after assembed I think will be great ROGUE needs to take the instruction manuals more seriously as I see with all Rogue equipment it is usually the biggest complaint.

We sincerely apologize for the frustration caused by receiving the wrong instructions. We do have the instructions for the FML-HR Weight Stack and got those sent over to you. We appreciate you calling this out and have reviewed this internally to prevent this from happening moving forward.
