Rhino Rack Trainer

The Rack Trainer version includes the Rhino Belt Squat and a 1:1 lat pulldown and Low Row.

Rhino Functional Trainer

The Functional Trainer version adds a 2:1 functional trainer in addition to the Rhino Belt Squat and 1:1 lat pulldown included on the Rack Trainer version.

GRANDFATHER CLOCK TENSIONING SYSTEM

(Patent Pending)

Because squats start from the top, rather than the bottom of the lift, the Rhino trolley also needs to start at the top of the range of motion. While this is easy in an open ended design like the Rhino Rack Trainer, for a closed loop, single-weight-source, multifunction cable system like the Rhino Functional Trainer, a new mechanism was required to make it possible to start most lifts from the bottom of the trolleys range of motion and then allow squats to start from the top of the lift.

In order to maintain cable tension while the trolley is resting on the Rhino horn, a precisely calibrated counterweight descends using a patent pending apparatus consisting of multiple pulleys and cables, all internal to the 3x6 upright. When the lifter attaches the belt, the counterweight is retracted and lifting can begin as normal.

The system is so cool we added a window into the upright so you can see it in action.

INNOVATIVE PULLEY CONFIGURATION

The patent pending pulley configuration achieves a 2:1 ratio for the functional trainer and 1:1 for the lat pulldown and low row, using a single plate-loaded trolley. This configuration allows the user to seamlessly move between the lat pulldown, belt squat and trolleys without ever needing to reconfigure or attach/detach a carabiner. This also only requires only one weight adjustment in use. This single weight source design ensures even loading, eliminating any possibility of side-to-side imbalances.

COMPATIBILITY AND VERSATILITY

Unlike many competitor models that require proprietary, specialized attachments to be able to achieve a 1:1 load for lat pulldown and low row that bridge two cables, the Rogue Rhino Rack Trainer and Rhino Rack Functional Trainer are compatible with all standard cable attachments.

OVERBUILT BY DESIGN

This unit is manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, and features 3x3" arms and crossmembers, a 3x6" weight trolley tower, and a 3/16” US made Mil spec aircraft cable. When not in use, the trolley is stored on a 1" thick UHMW plastic hook, or “Rhino Horn.” A diamond-tread plate platform provides steady footing, adjustable handles offer overhand and neutral grip options, and our exclusive Rogue Multi Belt (included standard) easily accommodates most waist sizes, with adjustments from 41” to 61”.

SEAMLESS TRANSITIONS

Transition to different movements on the Rhino Rack Trainer or Rhino Functional Trainer with ease. With our 1:1 pulley design in the Rack Trainer and the integrated 1:1 and 2:1 pulley system in the functional trainer there is no need to reconfigure your rack or cable attachment points when going from belt squats to lat pulldowns, 2:1 movements, or vice versa.

BUILT ON THE MONSTER RACK 2.0

The Rogue Monster Rack 2.0 is a fully customizable rack utilizing 3x3" 11-gauge steel tubing, over-sized 1" hardware, and a bolt-together design for easier portability and affordable shipping. The 2.0 version includes a wide spectrum of custom color options, laser-cut pin position numbers on the uprights and bottom crossmembers, and a keyhole pattern on the sides of each upright—creating compatibility with more add-ons and attachments.

RHINO HORN
5

RHINO HORN

This is a 1" thick UHMW plastic horn, sandwiched between steel plates, that holds the trolley when not in use. The Rhino Horn is adjustable up and down so that the "racked" or resting height of the trolley can be accommodated to specific users heights.

1:1 WEIGHT RATIO
6

1:1 WEIGHT RATIO

Integral to the design of the Rhino Rack Trainer is its 1:1 weight ratio, so the weight that is loaded on the trolley is the actual weight felt during the movement performed. This also uses a single weight source so you can use any standard cable attachment. The Rhino Functional Trainer adds dual adjustable height 2:1 swivel trolleys while still being able to use standard cable attachments for both the 2:1 and 1:1 attachment points.

All Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
Quick review of my newly assembled 90'' Rogue Monster FM-HR Twin 300lb Stacks Functional Trainer. We've all been waiting for this and I have to say, I think Rogue knocked it out of the park on it. The wait was worth it. As is anything from the Monster line, this thing is rock solid and heavy. There is nothing flimsy, wimpy, or non-committal about this machine. It is industrial for sure. Delivery / Setup: Shipment was fast and everything was palletized and packaged extremely well. This arrived on 2 large pallets along with 1 large wooden crate. There is of course lots of cardboard to unpack and break down, but this also helps to ensure that everything arrives in Mint condition. The actual setup of the unit was well orchestrated by Rogue's instructions as well videos. Just like anything else, it's a step by step process and due to the overbuilt and well engineered design, it can take a bit of time. Depending on how many extra sets of hands that you have, this can be a long and painless process (2+ people)...or it can be a long and painful process (1 person). My advice, have someone with you and you'll make quick work. Take your time toward the end and take care not to get sloppy and scratch up your new trainer. Usage/Usability: Although I've had the unit less than a week, I've put it through it's paces and performed a wide array of exercises. On every single exercise, the cable action is smooth, consistent, and solid feeling. The trolleys, although a bit heavy and beefy, move up and down the posts better than any commercial machine I've ever used. I'm 6'3'' and there is more than enough cable length travel to do virtually any exercise I want and the weight stack still has multiple feet of travel before it tops out; flys, ankle cuffed donkey kickbacks, overhead tricep press, whatever you want. I have yet to find a limitation. For the lat pulldown; perfectly executed. Strap on the new Multi-use Roller and then slide your bench under. You're locked in position and have more than enough weight to grow that back. For feedback to Rogue, on the lat bar hanger, I would've loved to have seen it been lined with UHMWPE. This would ensure that the hanger as well as the bar stay scuff free long term. Not a big deal though and I self remedied this by applying a couple small strips of black duck tape to the hanger surface. For the low row: Exactly as I expected. The footplate is beefy, solid, and very adjustable. The cable action is smooth, has plenty of travel, and of course, plenty of weight. I personally like doing low rows on the ground, but I'm sure some users will wish that a modified foot plate and pulley was available so that low rows could be performed on a bench. I attempted doing them on a bench and as is, it's simply not intended or usable for this. Fine by me. Extras: Of course, all of the attachments and accessories included are top notch. The weight horns with collar spacers are a great touch and the single handles, triangle, and lat bar are first class. It's clear that Rogue thought about the details when building this machine. The weight shrouds finish off the look of the machine. The trolleys are top quality. The fit, finish, and tolerances are all exactly what I hoped for and expected. I have yet to find a gripe or have an issue. And if I do...I know that Rogue customer service will take care of it because they have truly been wonderful to me over the years. Great work to the Rogue team. It took a lot of people to design, build, and package this beast. You did a wonderful job. Looking forward to seeing your continued innovations and new products. If details and quality matter to you...Rogue continues to far outclass their competitors. Period.

Excellent addition to the gym!
Well worth the wait! Having limited space in my gym I was in desperate need of a nice functional trainer and I did not have a place to put one in so I was very happy to see the twin stack made available. This unit is a great value for the price, the build quality is exactly what I expected out of Rogue, commercial grade and built for the long haul. The cable movements are smooth with the aluminum rollers, the adjustments on the fly attachments are also very easy to dial in, assembly will take a bit of time but the instructions and the video are great and very well thought out. If you are in the market for a functional trainer this is the way to go, there is absolutely no reason to buy from the other 3 letter guys when you can support American made goods for the same price, keep up the good work Rogue!

Absolutely insane
Just received my FM-6 yesterday, and absolutely impressed with it. the build quality is beyond reproach, action on the pulleys is extremely smooth, from beginning to stop. I've owned rogue equipment for years, and I'm just totally blown away by this. Word to the wise -- assembly is straightforward, they give you a video, a pdf, and printed instructions, but it is not a one person job. You will need at least 2 people, more likely 3. We were able to get by with 2 people only because we were replacing my old two-post wall mounted rogue rack which is exactly the same width, and used that as a brace to clamp the uprights to as we were assembling, but otherwise we would have needed three people.

Functional trainer
Awesome machine. Fits in very well in my 2 n half car garage. Got the shorter version think it was 91”. Perfect size. As all rogue machines it’s built to last and very smooth. 300lb weight stack. Installation took myself and my buddy about 4 hours. That included unpacking. The video instructions was very helpful. Highly recommended cable machine for garage gyms.

Amazing
Absolute beast of a unit. It's super smooth and extremely well engineered. Took about 8-10 hours to install, does require 2 people. I'm not sure whats more impressive the functional trainer or the detail and engineering put into the assembly, they made it pretty simple.

Worth the money and worth the wait. The 300lb weight stack is an absolute game changer. The cable system is smooth with plenty of room to work. This is going to be fun to build out from here.

What more do you need?
My wife and I had been searching for a way to build a highly-functional gym in a very small space - half of our two-car garage. Enter the FM-HR. In classic Rogue fashion, this thing is hilariously overbuilt and delivers quiet, smooth operation while seeming indestructible. From delivery/unpacking to assembly and use, it’s clear that the details matter to Rogue and they have delivered. I have the 90” uprights with the 300LB weight stack and have no issues with cable travel, even when doing flyes off both front trolleys (I’m 6’ 2” with an above average wingspan). Assembly was straightforward and was achievable alone but definitely recommend having an extra set of hands, especially when connecting the uprights together with the front crossmember. Hint: some heavy duty zip-ties to help hold the pulleys up during the cable installation were a huge help. I did have some delivery issues with a pallet arriving in shambles which led to damaged parts, but Rogue customer service was constantly engaged in making things right and provided replacement parts, no questions asked. We cannot wait to continue to break in this centerpiece of our new home gym. Well done, Rogue.
