Rogue SM-1 Squat Stand 2.0

Bridging the gap between traditional squat stands and power racks, the fully redesigned Rogue Monster Squat Stand 2.0 features over-sized 3x3” 11-gauge steel uprights, 1” hardware, and a bolt-together base with triangle plates for maximum stability. Each 73” upright of our SM-1 model also now includes a keyhole design down the side (for greater flexibility with a wider array of new attachments), along with a new Satin Black powder coat finish and dome tag branding for a bolder look. The unit’s base, triangle plates, and crossmembers feature the Satin Black powder coat finish, as well.

The SM-1 is the smallest of our Monster Series squat stands and does NOT include a pull-up bar option. The rack is manufactured in Columbus, OH, and ships with all required hardware and a set of Monster J-cups with UHMW plastic inserts and a signature, textured black powder coat finish.

This is a compact, dependable squat rack well suited to small garage gyms as well as larger affiliates and training facilities.

Rogue SM-1 Monster Squat Stand 2.0 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Squat Stand Incredibly stable, burly and functional. Perfect for those who have low ceilings and need the best of the best. I have used an SML-1 in the past and as good as that stand is this one is somehow better. The spotter arms are a necessity and are also super stable and nice. No concerns at all with heavy squat, bench, even shrugs. I prefer the sandwich cups to the J cups only for just a little more breathing room racking the bar but YMMV. If you can't get a full rack for whatever reason get this stand. It can handle everything you throw at it. You CAN put a pull-up bar on this rack but you'll sacrifice quite a bit of real estate on the uprights. Long story short: if you need a squat stand then this is the way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from compatible with oak floors I should have bought this 5 years ago. My only complaint is that the 70" squat stand doesn't have a pullup bar option. It really should!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epitome Of Quality! Rogue Monster Squat Rack is a true beast! Over the last three decades, I've been in many commercial gyms across the U.S. Rogue's equipment is, simply stated, BETTER! I also bought the stainless steel Ohio Olympic Bar and the stainless steel adjustable dumbbell bars. You get what you pay for people. My roommate in college was the national collegiate powerlifting champion. He had "32 thighs & "20 calves. Tracey Holder's squat was 730 lbs & working out with him was an honor. I'm not saying that I'm an expert on equipment...just close! But seriously, buy Rogue and you will have purchased things that you can pass on to your children; Rogue will outlast you, me & our kids!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Other reviewers have called it a tank for good reason. Super solid unit! I got the safety arms in order to lift at home with no spotter. The arms adjust to different positions super easily in seconds for squat or bench, especially considering how solid they are. I’m not the kind of person that wants to drive to a gym to work out so this has been a great investment for me. I have a very respectable home gym now with this rack as the core. Very satisfied!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Using a pullup bar with the SM-1 Since the holes in the uprights are the same, you *can* attach the pullup bars to the SM-1. I did this for stability sake in addition to the option of using it as a pull up bar. Unfortunately, Rogue does not sell the attachment hardware for these items. I was able to go to my local Fastenal franchise and purchase the necessary parts to attach my XM-432 for $38 after tax. I simply took the Bolt, Flat Washer, Lock Washer, and Nut in to their store & said "I need 4 more of these" and the Fastenal guy went to the specific bins & pulled them out for me. BoltDepot online would've cost about the same after shipping, but then the onus is on me for making sure that I ordered the correct items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes! Must have For a Home gym. I'll Preface with the packaging: It Comes on a huge palette, secure and sturdy. Once all the cardboard, tape and strapping is peeled away, the set up is about an hour or so. The rig itself is Compact, and sturdy as a rock. I went with the additional safety arms, adjustable bench and 230lb Hi-Temp set. (2 of each 45, 35, 25, 10) The Bench is super heavy duty-Almost excessively heavy duty. The Stock Ohio Bar is great. It's Tactile and sleek. I Didn't have an adjustable wrench, or fixed wrench big enough for the 12 bolts, but a vice grip and channel lock were sufficient. This is Super easy to assemble, even by yourself. There is 1 tiny thing to note, but most certainly not a deal breaker by any means: The upright holes aren't numbered. Also, the bench can not fully be slid back to use the J-cups for incline bench. (I know, it's a squat rack) Although, it is possible to use the end of the safety arms as a bar catch for incline.
