Vertical Plate Tree 2.0

The simple, old-school plate tree is still the gold standard when it comes to efficient bumper storage at affiliates and garage gyms around the globe. That said, there’s always room for a little refinement. Rogue’s updated Vertical Plate Tree—built in the USA—improves on traditional models with a reinforced triangle-plate base, optional wheels for mobility, and re-positioned posts that enable full-size Oly plate storage on all three tiers. The unit’s new bolt-together design also reduces shipping costs while maximizing overall stability.

Compatible with any and all IWF standard Olympic plates, the Vertical Plate Tree 2.0 is equipped with six 12” long storage posts (three on each side) constructed from 1.5” Schedule 40 pipe. Each of the posts on the roughly four-foot tall tree are evenly spaced at 18.275" on center to offer a good mix of versatility and storage capacity.

*Please note that any metal-to-metal contact with the coated storage posts (such as adding and/or removing plates) may cause wear on the finish over time.*

Rogue Vertical Plate Tree 2.0 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rogue quality never disappoints. I just got it today and put it together. The 2.0 should allow for 45lb plates on all pegs with no problem as seen in the pictures. The tree is solid and should last a long, long time. There is no wobble or flex after adding plates and the hardware provided is more than adequate. I ordered the wheels in hopes that I'd be able to roll all my plates between my power rack and deadlift platform instead of carrying them back and forth as I had been doing. However, once loaded with 14-45s, 4-35s, 4-25s, 4-10s, 6-5s, and some chips there was no way this thing wanted to roll on 3/4" horse stall mats weighing almost a half ton. Maybe wider wheels would help? Also, as was mentioned in a previous review I'm curious what the load limit is on these wheels too They are stout and probably good for at least 250lb per wheel. I ended up splitting my weights up between the tree and my rack since my rack also has pegs for storage. The tree was able to move with half the weight but it still took some effort to persuade it to move. At least my deadlift area isn't a hazardous mess anymore. Maybe later when I have the time and energy I'll load it back up and try to roll it on a concrete floor. I'll update this if I do. For now, I pulled a star for the wheels. Yes, they can hold I think, but rolling it is impossible loaded fully with iron plates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Tree This is a super sturdy plate tree and another superior product by Rogue! I have to chime in on the comments about the bolt that protrudes into the bottom tier restricting some valuable real estate where another plate would fit on or at least not leaving one barely hanging on. This bolt I believe is a 5/8 diameter but more importantly is 3 1/2 inches long. I went to the local hardware store and bought one in a 3 inch length instead. This 3 inch bolt will catch just enough to torque down and be flush on the exit side of the nut. It clears up a 1/2 inch of space. It may not sound like a lot but it will make differences depending on the combinations of plates on this one side of the lower tier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty great, not without flaw. Cons: Came with dents and paint removed in areas, typical of Rogue products I receive. The top tier holds change plates, but I wish was taller so I could store more bumpers. Change plates are small and there's no way the top rack will be fully utilized. The bolts get in the way of storing more plates on the bottom tier. Pros: Holds bumper plates and doesn't seem to be phased by the weight. Sturdy and heavy just by bolting it up, which only takes 5-10 minutes with casters. Overall it's a good value. Rogue seems to be invested in creating quality products and this is no different. However it's the little details that they often miss out on which means this is not a 5 star product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 star product even with having 3 issues Great Product. It does have 3 issues which have been pointed out in other reviews and which I made a video about which I posted below. Still the thing is solid and it takes less then 5 minutes to take it out of the box and assemble it. You could literally being watching the walking dead and during a commercial break put it together before the show comes back on. Overall I got to give it a 5 star rating for the quality of the product and how quickly rogue shipped it to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rogueaholic So there I was at work Thinking about my next workout when I saw Rogue had sent me one of their product emails and this plate tree was featured. I was in trouble. How could Rouge have known I have been looking for a top notch weight tree. Without hesitation I placed the order and hoped I had enough cash to cover it. When this thing arrived I could not believe how well built it was. Sure I know Rouge quality, I have a lot of their stuff but this weight tree was art. Well made, functional, and bombproof. Plus wheels. All the things that fuel my Rogue addiction. Yes, I'm a Rogueaholic I hate you Rogue

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good, could be great Just received this yesterday. Easy to assemble very sturdy but could be more effective with space. Add a round top for change/fractional plate storage or even the same on the four legs. 9 out of 10

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product! Highly recommend, 1 small exception Bought the Rogue Vertical Plate Tree for my home setup and I am very happy! I have 3 full 140KG sets of competition bumpers and 2, 25KG Pendlay Metal Change Plate sets on it. I probably have it overloaded, ha! The only reason I rate it at 4/5 is because the 5KG Metal Pendlay Change Plates do NOT fit on the top racks... Literally about a 1/4" from making them fit. Not a huge deal but I would like to have all the change plates on the top, I have slight OCD. All in all, Rogue products are great and the Vertical Plate Tree is no different.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great/sturdy option for a stand up plate holder This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to keep as much space as possible on the floor, and this did the job. It was easy to put together as well. A few minor things I want to mention for others to know. Before I bought this, I made sure the bumpers I bought would fit on it, as most all the bumper/plates vary in width. The colored Echo bumpers (which are awesome) are more dense than the traditional black Echo ones, so they aren't as wide. They fit perfectly. Make sure you figure out the width of your plates you're putting on, so it fits securely on the branches. The ones I bought do fit great on the plate tree, but I had to switch them around. As mentioned below, the hardware (nuts and bolts) for it does limit space on the lowest branches. I feel like the bolts should have been switched 90 degrees so they wouldn't get in the way of the plates. We had to move our 45 bumpers up to the next branches because they were hanging off too much, especially on the side with the nut. Also, the wheels are great, but once the tree is loaded with plates, it can be very hard to move. I'm curious if it has a weight limit with the wheels on??? I may have loaded too much weight on. I would hate for a wheel, or two, to bust off, and the whole thing fall over. Ours in on 1/2" rubber mats, so I can see how it probably sinks in to the rubber a bit, making it harder to push. I'm sure it would move better on a harder surface though. Overall, I am happy with it. I'm hoping this will help others out with their purchase.
