The unit’s new bolt-together design also reduces shipping costs while maximizing overall stability.
Compatible with any and all IWF standard Olympic plates, the Vertical Plate Tree 2.0 is equipped with six 12” long storage posts (three on each side) constructed from 1.5” Schedule 40 pipe. Each of the posts on the roughly four-foot tall tree are evenly spaced at 18.275" on center to offer a good mix of versatility and storage capacity.
*Please note that any metal-to-metal contact with the coated storage posts (such as adding and/or removing plates) may cause wear on the finish over time.*

Good but could be better
First this is a good storage rack. The length of the sleeves is longer than most of the competitors. That alone is a big selling point of you use machined or deep dish plates. Competition plates are no problem. It would be nice if they offered plastic acorn nuts to cover threads from the bolts. I bought a set of them from McMaster Carr and that solved that issue. The casters are just ok. It might be worth looking into something a bit more heavy duty as well as a way to lock the wheels. It could be better but even with what I think are short comings I still would recommend it

Great piece of equipment for home gym

Could be amazing with small changes
I like how much floor space this cleans up for me and it is very sturdy so I have no concern about this thing falling over even when all the weights are placed on one side. I will say the coating used scratches instantly when used with the competition bumper plates. I am sure over time that this will wear off but hopefully it will not rust but only time will tell and I'll update.
I would be willing to pay for a configuration where the arms were just brushed steel or something that doesn't scratch off.

Creative bolting can expand storage
Great plate tree.
It is possible to install four infinity short plate posts (facing inward) and four infinity/m lite horizontal bar holders (facing outward) on the bottom but it requires creative bolting. Basically you will need to buy, cut, or otherwise acquire bolts that are just short enough to go inside the tubing but long enough to pop out and provide enough threads to fit the lock washer and nut. Technically you could fit six mlite bar holders (three on each side) but you should first decide what you want to do with the upright holes. For instance if you put a chain hanger it would probably stick out so far that the bar holder would be unusable.
If you want to be able to roll the thing with 1000+ lbs on it you can’t use the stock wheels Rogue sells. You can however use McMaster Carr #9795T55 That part is rated for 750lbs per caster so you will be good. Of course if you have really squishy flooring then don’t bother because nice casters won’t make a difference.

Bubbling coating
I understand that the coating will start to come off, but it started a few months after purchased and has gotten worse. I have only purchased this a few years and started to see the peeling right away. Does the job of store plates.

Solid without question
I have this tree without wheels and it's 100% solid - even with 45 lb plates on the top pins. My only issue is that it would be nice if the pins were smaller in diameter. They are the same size as a weight bar and it can be a two handed job to get plates on/off. A smaller diameter would allow easier single handed on and off.
