Universal Storage System 2.0

Rogue’s fully redesigned Universal Storage System 2.0 lets you create a dynamic kettlebell / dumbbell / medball rack customized to your gym’s needs. Using the dropdown menu, you can select your preferred storage rack height (2-tier or 3-tier) and the type of shelf for each tier (flat tray for kettlebells or angled for dumbbells). Like the original Universal Storage System, the 14” depth of the flat tray offers the benefit of being able to stack kettlebells 2x deep for maximum space efficiency. Caster wheels and rubber feet also come standard for convenient portability + stability and floor protection.

One of the key updates with Version 2.0 of the Universal Storage System is the expansion of the overall shelf length to 70”—enough to store (16) 70LB kettlebells stacked two-deep. The unit is also beefed up in construction with 2x3" and 3x3" 11-Gauge Steel Uprights, 0.1875" Laser Cut Shelves. Each shelf features a channel welded underneath to provide additional support. The shelf brackets utilize 0.625" hardware while the shelves bolt to the brackets using 0.5" hardware.

The Universal Storage System is compatible with other Rogue storage accessories like the Infinity/Monster-Lite Single Bar Holder, which can be bolted directly to the sides of the rack base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like a tank This is extraordinarily sturdy. I don’t yet have my dumbbell set due to COVID-19 delays, but they will definitely have a solid place to rest! This is a commercial-grade piece of gym equipment, no question. You can do the first few steps of assembly solo—but I highly recommend having a partner for attaching the shelves and the wheels. This thing is 400+ pounds (with no dumbbells) once assembled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seriously solid. Bought it and knew it would be stout, and then it arrived. 2 dumbell and 1 kettlebell shelf’s. If there’s ever a natural disaster at my house (tornado, hurricane, earthquake, etc) my DBs and KBs will be safe; this unit will protect them. Come to think of it, I’m going to weather the storm next to this from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast of a Rack!! Bought it during the quarantine, was hoping to fill it with dumbbells but they haven’t been in stock since February. That being said, I was able to store my kettle bells and get other miscellaneous equipment off of the floor. It is pricey, but this rack is made to last a few lifetimes. Like most thing Rogue, quality built and second to none.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built in the US to Last a Lifetime Awesome storage rack. The shelves weigh over 150lbs, so it is heavy and hard to assemble for one person. But I managed by laying the Tbars on the side and connecting the lower shelf first, then tightening all the bolts. At which point I did the same with the second shelf, but had an issue putting the bolt through the forth hole so I left that sides bold a little lose. Then I connected the third shelf, but again had an issue with the fourth bolt on the bottom, the same side as the bolt on the second shelf (which I left a little lose). Finally I put the caster wheels on and secured them. After begging my wife to help me lift this storage rack, because it weighs at least 450lbs, we erected The storage rack and I was able put the remaking bolts in properly. I highly recommend buy one caster wheels, because it is so easy to move with them. I love my new storage rack.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Price The storage rack looks awesome but i cant justify paying 485 + tax and shipping for a 2 tier storage. But i guess if you have the money for it then go for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Got it for Kettlebell and Dumbbell Storage I bought this for a mix of dumbbells and a few kettlebells that range from 10lbs to 125lbs. It works really well for it’s purpose. The shelves are super sturdy, thick and reinforced. When I put this thing together I was left feeling like the sum of the parts isn’t as sturdy as the shelves. When assembled it’s a little wobbly, might be the 420lbs storage system plus the 700-800 lbs of dumbbells and kettlebells sitting on 4 small casters. (Think “hippo on roller skates.”) I’d remove the casters but I want the extra storage space under the bottom shelf. If I were to recommend improvements, I would put angle bracket reinforcements between shelf supports and vertical pillars. It might stiffen things. Try making the pillars bigger boxes and a tad taller. When you rack 125lb dumbbells it shakes a bit and you wish there were 2 more inches of room between shelves, eg a bit taller so you don’t bruise your forearms. Consider adding the triangle brackets between vertical post and it’s horizontal base...all the systems weight is sitting on those small welds. Another idea would be to stagger or offset the shelves a little bit so the lower shelf doesn’t sit directly underneath the upper shelf. That way you have a little clearance when rack in that 125lb on the bottom shelf you don’t hit your forearm on the shelf above it. These aren’t showstoppers but just ideas to make this thing a 10 out of 10 verses about an eight or nine out of 10.
