Universal Storage System 2.0

Rogue’s fully redesigned Universal Storage System 2.0 lets you create a dynamic kettlebell / dumbbell / medball rack customized to your gym’s needs. Using the dropdown menu, you can select your preferred storage rack height (2-tier or 3-tier) and the type of shelf for each tier (flat tray for kettlebells or angled for dumbbells). Like the original Universal Storage System, the 14” depth of the flat tray offers the benefit of being able to stack kettlebells 2x deep for maximum space efficiency. Caster wheels and rubber feet also come standard for convenient portability + stability and floor protection.

One of the key updates with Version 2.0 of the Universal Storage System is the expansion of the overall shelf length to 70”—enough to store (16) 70LB kettlebells stacked two-deep. The unit is also beefed up in construction with 2x3" and 3x3" 11-Gauge Steel Uprights, 0.1875" Laser Cut Shelves. Each shelf features a channel welded underneath to provide additional support. The shelf brackets utilize 0.625" hardware while the shelves bolt to the brackets using 0.5" hardware.

The Universal Storage System is compatible with other Rogue storage accessories like the Infinity/Monster-Lite Single Bar Holder, which can be bolted directly to the sides of the rack base.

Best bang for your buck.
Incredibly heavy with Incredible Quality. Super glad I purchased this rack. Only issue is I bought 5-50lbs dumbbells and I have too much room left on the rack. So expect another order of 55-100lbs dumbbells. Thanks for the quick shipping.

Rogue Dumbbell Storage System
Very nice storage system. Although when speaking with customer service I was lead to believe I could add 3rd shelf if needed at a later time. After assembling the unit it obvious the uprights would have to be replaced to add a 3 shelf. Also, there was no delivery notification for my Rogue equipment. The driver was going to leave about 1000 pounds of new equipment on the side walk in the rain if I didn’t hear him unloading the truck!!!

We're sorry for any confusion surrounding our storage systems. For the Universal Storage System 2.0 specifically, you would need the 3-tier unit if you wanted a set up with 3 shelves.

Solid Product ... But
This review covers the Rogue Universal Storage System 2.0 – both two and three tier systems. I rate the system itself as a 5 and the purchase interface and as a 3 – more on that below. As previously mentioned in other reviews, the three tier system can almost hold dumbbells from 5 through 100lbs in 5lb increments with some tucked under the storage system itself (see photos) for a complete set. The three tier system does have some lateral movement to it. I suspect the three tiers when coupled with the wheels raises the center of gravity enough to introduce a slight wobble. The two tier system does not have the same dynamics. I put together both systems by myself. It can be done if: 1) You build it in a horizontal fashion starting with the top-most shelf, 2) Have a couple of bricks to place under the assembled top shelf to act as spacers for shelves two and three, and 3) You can clean approximately three hundred pounds to get the unit upright (recommendation – use concrete blocks to get the unit to knee height first). Overall – a solid high-quality unit. Would I buy it (them) again – Oh absolutely but with a couple of qualifiers. Now to the three star stuff: Last month I purchased a set of adjustable dumbbells in the 5-60lb range. So no need for individual dumbbells in that range or their angled storage shelves. Unlike Rogue’s Mass Storage Systems, you can’t purchase individual shelves from the web page, you must contact customer support. (Come on Rogue, make the storage unit interfaces the same). So, I ordered two kettleball shelves to replace two dumbbell shelves. The two kettleball shelves came to $250.00. The shipping came to $275.00. Whew …. Looking at the angled DB shelves later, I realized that if Rogue included additional holes – where the support brackets fit – then the dumbbell shelf could go from angled to flat. Ah well… So, before ordering, consider the full life and use of your unit and purchase your shelving accordingly. If there is or could be a set of adjustable dumbbells in your future then buy the kettleball shelves – regular dumbbells still fit.

This thing is great
This is a great dumbbell rack. I really like this thing. It is solid. Easy to set up (with a partner). After reading other reviews, I did end up putting a liner on the KB shelf and car door edge guards on the edges of the dumbbell shelves. Did I mention how much I like this thing? Also put a barbell holder on the side of it.

Best rack on the market
This thing is a tank!!!! It’s sturdy, and it really made a difference in my home gym. I wish it didn’t cost that much to ship, but I understand why now.

Great storage units
If you buy the dumbbell set you should absolutely buy this storage system. You wont regret it. Fully adjustable and Its "made in America". When you put it together you'll see that still has meaning.

Best of the best
Love the racks. The best of the best! BUT I am missing one screw. Y’all gave me one extra big bolt and nut rather than the smaller one for 1 part.

BE CAREFUL!
We have a brand new facility and paid a ridiculous amount of money on our flooring. The unit is so big and heavy, mix in adding actual dumbbells, kettlebells, etc. and you have a very heavy piece of equipment. THIS IS WHERE THINGS GO SOUTH.... The wheels they provide are FAR TOO SMALL for the weight this is intended to hold. Unless you have a concrete floor or don't care about your flooring they ABSOLUTELY MUST think about providing people with wheels actually designed for the weight this product is intended to hold. We could not push the unit at all because when we did it was digging into our brand new floors. Massive, massive unit. Solid quality around BUT the wheels are incredibly sub par and could potentially cost you thousands to repair your floors not to mention it doesn't do the one thing it was designed to do and that is be mobile.
