SAML-24 Monster Lite Safety Spotter Arms (Pair)

$162.75

Monster Lite Spotter Arms

Compatible with all Monster Lite racks, Rogue's heavy-duty 24" Safety Spotter Arms are designed to protect both the weightlifter and the bar itself.

When adding spotter arms to an existing rack, dependability is always the optimum word-- particularly for athletes training alone in a home gym or garage gym . This is why Rogue manufactures its Monster Lite Spotter Arms from 3x3" 11-Gauge Steel tubing, with welded-on end-plates for additional safety and specially designed hitch-pins to lock the spotters in place. The arms feature a UHMW plastic insert on top to protect the knurling of your bars.

Like all products in the Monster Lite line, these spotters feature 5/8” holes and a 5/8" pin, rather than the 1" varieties of the standard Monster Spotter Arms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these things I bought these to use on my SML-2C squat rack. They are very sturdy and install quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it says These were out of stock when I bought my rack but I ordered them as soon as they became available. They're sturdy enough to stand up to pin squats. I don't know whether a badly failed squat would have as positive a result. I have yet to find out. Otherwise they operate exactly as intended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life savers (literally) I bought these in March and I have used them for rack pulls and benching. Great addition to have if you lift solo. Just keep in mind that you’ll have to adjust the heights accordingly so you don’t accidentally hit them while squatting/benching

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, well built, and easy to adjust safeties Purchased so that we could work out without a spotter. Maxed out on the squat and the safeties took the weight no problem. Did a max test on the bench press and they are in the small hole spacing range for accurate adjustment. Don't have to worry about hurting myself or getting trapped under the bar while lifting alone. My only wish is that they could go down lower, doing the floor press and the bottom part of the safety front plate hits the flanges on either side of the squat rack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very solid, good design I bought this to use with my monster-light folding wall-mounted squat rack. It works well for most of my needs. The only cons: you can’t use it as designed for Romanian deadlifts ... the bolts at the bottom of the squat rack interfere with the placement of the spotter arms. I still use them, but at a 45 degree angle and unfastened. It’s not optimal.(2) I cant get a good height on it for spotting my bench press. It’s either too high (so only half the range if motion) or too low (if I actually needed it I would probably crack a rib). The pros: it is VERY sturdy, it looks good, it Isn’t going anywhere when fastened down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Great, much better than the spotter bars that came with the rack (RML-490). Only complaint is that they will not go low enough for decline bench as the crossmember bolts get in the way. This keeps them from going flush with the rack. Quick to move around. Very solid. Well made. The plastic to protect your barbell knurling is a great feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As described, can be improved but still excellent Just got it. Already pushing back to where I push with a dedicated spotter at the gym. As mentioned many times in reviews, a second pin hole would be good. If the top pin is in one of the holes at about the 3' from the ground level where the holes are spaced every inch on the Rml-3w rack, there is a 50/50 chance that the bottom hole for the pin won't align to the lower holes that are spaced every 2 inches (it would be in between, because the top pin is on the odd inch). Not sure why they used plastic on the top of the arm... Rubber seems like it would be more durable. In just testing the function of the arms, the bar left marks on the surprisingly shiny plastic (I can see my reflection in the gloss). I plan on adding the gorilla tape mentioned below to protect the powder coating of the rack. Lastly, product did have scratches, dust, marks, and potentially rust on arrival. It would likely get marks during use, but rust worries me. Overall very happy, even with the other concerns.
