Schwinn Airdyne Pro

Schwinn has been manufacturing quality bikes for over a century, and in the fitness world, they’ve been a leading innovator in air resistance technology. With the Airdyne AD Pro, Schwinn has developed its most complete all-purpose stationary bike to date—with a perimeter-weighted flywheel design, powerful solid steel cranks, and doubled-coated steel body construction. Multi-position handles allow the rider to use a vertical or horizontal grip, redesigned foot platforms reduce slip and improve push-off, and a larger, padded seat offers optimal comfort. The universal rail and clamp system even lets users swap in their own customized seats if they choose.

Not all fitness bikes are built the same. The Schwinn Airdyne AD Pro is uniquely designed to increase resistance to match the force you’re exerting, and its drive belt system is not only durable and up to the task, but far quieter than most air bikes on the market. No matter your goals or the pace you want to set, the bike allows you to establish a program that works for you, tracking watts, time, calories burned, distance, and more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even Better than expected! Simply Amazing! Like many here I researched and researched and saw more reviews and videos than I can count before buying. Living in Hawaii and buying something as large as this shipping from Ohio is not worth sending back because we have to pay return shipping and it has to be back in the original packaging (haha sure). So, you just hope to get it right. And, thankfully, I DID. This Schwinn AirDyne Pro is like a Cadillac. Sooooo smooth. It’s honestly perfect. Better than expected. I was worried it might be too hard for lighter workouts based on some of the feedback because it has 26 blades. But it's perfect, both for light/maintenance type workouts and/or of course when you want it to kick your a$$ it certainly delivers that too. Surprisingly, just this evening, my 6 and 8 year old grandkids were able to do the arms for at least a minute each (could'nt reach the legs). But that just shows if you want lighter workout or warm up, cool down type work this thing is fine. But like all AirBikes the faster you go harder it gets. I almost went with the Rogue Epic AirBike. And then almost picked the Assault Bike Elite. But this one was 100 percent the right one for me. And I do believe, after all I've researched, this is the best AirBike OVERALL. I chose this AirDyne Pro over the Rogue Epic mainly because of the multi-grip as well as slightly thinner handle bars than the Epic. That’s not an insignificant thing. Plus this one comes with a fan guard already attached as well as a water bottle and phone holders. And I picked this one over the Assault Elite, mainly because that one is still chain driven but also because this one also has better handle bar grip options. And I use all 3 of those different grips almost equally. Again, that's a big deal to me. I purchased a nice little non-skid black floor mat as well as a jell padded seat cover from Amazon (you can see both in the pics attached). Both were great additions. The came up as suggested ideas when looking at the AirDyne 7 on Amazon, which Amazon wouldn’t even ship the bike to Hawaii unless you purchased the cheaper AirDyne 2. I did just buy the Polar heart rate strap a couple of days ago from Rogue Fitness but hasn’t arrived yet. I’ve used Polar for years and know it will be spot-on, unlike my Fitbit Versa 3 which is just okay for workouts but great for everything else. And it does count my steps when using the arms on this AirDyne, which is nice to know. But the main thing is simply getting on it. It is just so comfortable and smooth that nothing I say here can truly do it justice. I had a repair guy who was limping up my front stairs come by and after he was done I showed it to him. He rode it and said same thing I did. "Wow, that is smooth as silk and amazing". I sent him the link from Rogue. He wants to buy it. It’s definitely nice to look at and very solidly built. Console easy to use and see. It’s also unbelievably quiet. Even when I’m pushing it hard it’s still very quiet. I expected all of these airbikes were loud. Not the case. The belt drive is obviously why. Overall, a 10 out of 10 for me. Both the purchase experience from Rogue Fitness (arrived in less than a week from UPS) and was only $205 shipping to Hawaii. But mostly what a quality AirBike. I wanted something that would give me a cardio workout that would not be too hard on my legs, but that would also work my upper body for cardio. This thing delivers BOTH. And of course the arms are both push and pull so you just feel like it’s making you stronger in every way possible. Legs/upper body as well as heart/lungs all on a really, truly comfortable and for me amazing bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Good News Lend an ear, Brothers and Sisters! I am here to tell you the Good News, and that Good News is the Schwinn AirDyne Pro! Can I get an Hallelujah?! If you truly enjoy grinding out 45-60 minutes of cardio on a stationary bike or what have you then this is NOT the machine for you. If, however, you desire an eminently efficient butt kicking, step right up and be saved. Thirty minutes on this beast will leave you absolutely “glowing.” Built like a tug boat too. Just wish I had been “saved” years ago. Spread the Gospel.
