The Rogue Bar 2.0 - Black Zinc

This is the next generation of the 28.5MM Olympic bar that helped launch the revolution. Now fully machined and assembled at the Rogue factory in Columbus, Ohio, the Rogue Bar 2.0 represents the highest level of precision engineering with a wide range of new features—including stronger 190 PSI steel, durable composite bushings, and CNC-machined groove sleeves with customizable color bands, available here.

Like the original flagship Rogue Bar, Version 2.0 still offers convenient dual knurl marks for both Olympic and powerlifting, with a black zinc shaft and bright zinc sleeves. The addition of a groove in the sleeve enables athletes and coaches to more easily identify and differentiate bars by changing out the bands. The bar comes standard with Rogue-branded bands, but you can swap them out with any of the additional color options available, or even use any custom, personalized band that matches the dimensions.

The Rogue Bar 2.0 is among the first in our arsenal to use composite bushings—a self-lubricating material often found in hi-tech aerospace equipment and military vehicles. For intense, high-rep training, these bushings dramatically minimize friction to both provide a reliable spin and help extend the shelf life of the bar itself.

The Rogue Bar helped us cement our reputation at the CrossFit Games and beyond, and we believe the Rogue Bar 2.0 is a worthy successor to that mantle.

Note: The Rogue Bar 2.0 comes standard with Black / White Silicone Bracelets, so additional Rogue Silicone Bracelets that are purchased must be replaced on the barbell manually

F Scale™
The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate
The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

The Rogue Bar 2.0 - Black Zinc is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 211.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bar I bought this bar about 2 months ago as an upgrade for a cheap $100 barbell. All I can say is I should have done it sooner. Bar is great and feels good in your hands

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a nice bar for the money I am just starting out and wanted a decent bar but did not want to spend a fortune. I also look at it as an investment, most used rouge bars sell for close to what they cost new so if I decide to get my money back out of it I can. It is much higher quality bar than what you get at the local sporting good store. It was shipped and I received the next day (I'm very close to Ohio) and the packaging was great. I'm very happy with the look and quality of this bar, I'm sure it will last me a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bar I recently upgraded to this bar from an old Rogue Beater Bar. It is great and worth the money, but had a small issue initially. The e-coat finish was a bit rough. I used the wooden side of the barbell brush Rogue sells to go over the bar lightly, and then brushed it off. That took care of the finish issues, and the bar now feels great. (Just like my Rogue curl bar) I'm not sure if these bars get a light sanding step after the finish coating, but if they do, it seems like it was missed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Bar I’ve had this for about 1.5 months, and it is a great bar. The only knock is that the black zinc scratches really easily on metal pin pipe safties, so I would recommend getting safeties with UHMW plastic. Otherwise, the knurling is perfect for a general weight lifting bar.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT TYPICAL ROGUE QUALITY I purchased my 2nd Rogue Bar 2.0 a few months ago with the expectation of getting the same quality I have come to expect from Rogue products. I have purchased MANY thousands of dollars worth of Rogue equipment for my facilities (24 hour health club/CrossFit affiliate) and for my home gym and have rarely been disappointed. There are a lot of options out there, but the biggest selling point for me is consistency. So when I needed an additional bar for the facility I train athletes at (and personally use), I didn't even shop around. The Rogue 2.0 I purchased in 2016 has been my favorite all around bar, and has held up through major abuse. The spin was surprisingly good at this price point and is still very smooth. The Rogue 2.0 that I just received is not even close. The spin on this bar is typical of a bar you would receive free with a cheap weight set. Maybe this is normal of the 2.0 and I just got lucky with the first bar in 2016. But I cant recommend this product based on newest bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Love this barbell. Very versatile. Only small gripe is the coating comes off pretty easily were knurl is, noticed after first use. But it’s lifting and that will eventually happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Solid Bar I bought it right before Quarantine started and it's gotten a lot of use since! It's a great bar and I love it
