Like all Ohio Bars, the E-Coat model is fully machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio. It includes a 190,000 PSI tensile strength shaft, dual knurl marks (no center knurl), and bright zinc sleeves. The hybrid knurling pattern offers a firm but comfortable grip on both Powerlifts and Oly lifts, while a snap-ring design, quality U.S. steel, and bronze bushings help produce the perfect balance of rigidity and natural whip.

Rogue Machining and Assembly
Made with pride in Columbus, Ohio, the 20 KG Ohio Bar has been put to use for years in home gyms; high school, collegiate and pro training programs; CrossFit gyms; military bases . . . anywhere athletes are concerned with quality. Each 190,000 PSI tensile strength steel shaft is ground and polished prior to machining to ensure a better finish, and the dual knurl marks are carefully refined for a firm but non-abrasive grip. The snap ring design, bronze bushings, and quality U.S. steel help produce an ideal combination of the consistent “whip” needed for Oly lifts and the ample rigidity required for heavy powerlifting.

E-Coat Finish
The black electrocoat, or E-Coat shaft finish on this Ohio Bar is an electrically-applied paint coating noted for its excellent corrosion resistance, cost efficiency, and green benefits. It has been widely adopted by leading manufacturers for the finishing of auto parts, metal stampings, fasteners, lawn/garden & agricultural equipment, military equipment, and much more. E-Coat finishes stand up to water, sunlight, and household chemicals, and they are compliant with the environmental safety standards of the RoHS, OSHA and EPA.
F SCALE™
The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.
OXIDATION RATE
The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.
*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage, or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Lives up to the hype
Having previously only used cheaper bars at commercial gyms, the difference is night and day. Knurling is super grippy but doesn't feel like it's going to rip my hands up doing high volume. Stainless steel feels like it's going to last forever. The very light texture on the sleeves also helps the collars hold the weight on really securely, but still super easy to get weights on and off. Overall very happy with this purchase, and think this bar 100% lives up to the hype.

Amazing feel and function
The Ohio Bar is a great all-round barbell, If you can only have one, this is the one you need. The knurling is grippy, yet not painful. The cerakote coating is going strong after use.

It’s gorgeous but the knurling is a little passive
Just got my Ohio bar, custom ordered navy cerakote with chrome sleeves. The bar is a work of art. The fit and finish is top tier, it’s almost too pretty to use. That said, i should have gotten a power bar, the knurling is just too passive for my taste. I would call it on the mild side of medium. Not Rogue’s fault, mine. Just make sure you like mild knurling.

Not what I expected from Rogue
Today I received my barbell in the mail and chose the Ohio bar because all of the great things I've heard about it. Was disappointed to see it arrive rusted. This is the second issue I've had with the quality control of their products.

Really Disappointed - Terrible Sleeves
I was so excited to buy a Rogue bar for my new home gym after using the cheap bars at my CF gym for 8 years. The navy bar with black sleeves is very nice looking and the bar feels great. However, I am so disappointed at how difficult it is to put plates on and take plates off. I really ruins the entire experience of using this bar. I thought maybe it was my plates, but after reading more reviews since I've received it, it sounds like I'm not the only one having this issue.

Not as expected
I bought this bar for myself two years ago, when Rogue offered both stainless sleeves and shaft. It’s been inside for more than one of those years and only been in a garage for 10 months and is already starting to rust. I paid a significant premium for this bar and it makes me wonder if this thing is really as advertised.g
