American Continental Weight Lifters’ Association Notes – Strength Magazine – July, 1925

“Bigger and better” is a slogan that is always applied to the progress of any new enterprise, and it can be satisfactorily used to explain the last exhibition of the A.C.W.L.A. in Philadelphia on May 2d. The program was a lengthy one, but entertainingly versatile, introducing some splendid talent in many new features. The new blood, engendered into the contests at the last meeting, made a sensational showing against some of the more seasoned veterans, thus proving that possible talent is · not escaping our president’s eye, for he was the means of bringing them to the front on this occasion.
