Courage and Fortitude-the Exponents of Exercise – Strength Magazine – December, 1926

One of the greatest exhibitions of courage I ever saw w~s demonstrated by my buddy one day. It happened on one of the most crowded and busiest thoroughfares in the world. We walked hurriedly through the City Hall courtyard in Philadelphia in order to be on time for the opening number of a musical comedy show. Coming out of the Arcade leading to the street, I perceived that traffic was halted to allow the people to stream across Market street. I bolted suddenly and dashed madly as the shrill police whistles and traffic signals set the dense mass of vehicles into motion.
