How the Biggest Bankers Keep Fit – Strength Magazine – July, 1925

Popular conception of the Wall Street banker, gained from countless cartoons and movie presentations, is that of a portly gentleman of some fifty or sixty years of age, his face adorned by white flowing sideboards and moustaches, beetling brows and puffy red cheeks of a floridity .which may indicate unusually high blood-pressure. When so appearing he is given to light gray suits, fedora hats, spats, gardenias and, if he is a musical comedy financier, a pretty taste in wines and comely young ladies. Thus portrayed also, he is somewhat short of wind and puffs at the slightest exertion. It is, all in all, well for his heirs that he had made a large amount of money, for no insurance company would give him a second look.
