John Kirgan Jr. Highlight – Strength Magazine – May, 1917

John Kirgan Jr., of Phillipsburg, N. J., took up lifting in the spring of 1916. He started practice after his 22d birthday, and inside of a year he has increased his weight 22 pounds, his normal chest has increased 4 inches (now measuring 42 inches), his biceps have increased to 15 inches, his thigh has increased to 24 inches, his forearm has increased from 11 1/2 to 13 7/8 inches, and his wrist now measures 7 1/2 inches. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall.
