Quebec The Cradle of Strong Men – Strength Magazine – May, 1924

With the advent before the public of that ponderous giant, Louis Cyr, the gaze of the sporting world was focused for the first time upon the Province of Quebec. Even then, Cyr was looked upon as a freak, or a human miracle, rather than as a fair sample of his countrymen. Cyr was possibly the strongest man of his nation, and it must be remembered that his nation is com-posed of the physically strongest men in the world.
