The attainment of a perfect physical condition together with the acquirement of great strength, has been the goal of mankind from ancient to modern times. Even some of the exercises used at the present time, have been handed down to us from the ancient Greeks. Indications · have been found that some of these exercises, such as the “floor dips” were especially in favor in Greece. But, whatever system is used, the fact remains that there is something about the possession of extraordinary physical power which incites in its possessor the call and desire for further achievement along the same lines.
